5/24: The Get Down (Netflix) canceled after 1 season.
5/23: Variety reports that HBO and Jon Stewart have mutually agreed to cancel their planned topical animated series, which was originally set to launch last fall, after learning that "timely" and "animation" aren't compatible.
5/23: Season 1 of The President Show (Comedy Central) extended by 7 episodes.
5/23: Amazon has ordered a series adaptation of the 2011 girl assassin thriller Hanna from that film's co-writer, David Farr (The Night Manager).
5/23: Chicago Justice (NBC) canceled after 1 season.
5/20: NBC has given a late renewal to first-year comedy Trial & Error, which will return for a 10-episode 2nd season next year.
5/19: Freeform has ordered 13 episodes of the black-ish spinoff College-ish, revolving around Yara Shahidi's character Zoey, to debut in 2018.
5/19: Animals (HBO) renewed for a 3rd season.
5/19: East Los High (Hulu) canceled after 4 seasons. A one-hour special will stream this fall to wrap up the story.
5/18: Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of puppet fantasy series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, serving as a prequel to Jim Henson's 1982 film. It should stream in 2018.
5/18: The CW has announced its fall schedule and 4 new shows for the 2017-18 season.
5/17: There's finally some good news on the delayed CBS All Access project Star Trek: Discovery. Its still-unscheduled first season has been extended to 15 episodes. Expect a fall debut.
5/17: United Shades of America (CNN) renewed for a 3rd season.
5/17: CBS has announced its fall schedule and 8 new shows for the 2017-18 season. Missing from the schedule are Training Day, Pure Genius, and Ransom, which are now presumed to be canceled officially canceled.
5/17: Arrested Development (Netflix) renewed for a 5th season. The entire cast will return for the new episodes, which will stream in 2018.
5/17: Netlix has ordered a new series based on The Witcher fantasy books by Andrzej Sapowski (which are the source of the videogame franchise of the same name).
5/17: TNT has ordered two new current events docuseries for next season: Michael Moore Live from the Apocalypse, and the Sarah Jessica Parker/Morgan Spurlock collaboration Who Run the World?.
5/17: TBS has renewed late-night talk show Conan through 2022. The network has also ordered several new comedies, including a new untitled series from viral video trio The Dress Up Gang, Lorne Michaels-produced comedy anthology The Miracle Workers (a heaven-set workplace comedy starring Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson), and Close Enough (an adult-targeted animated series from Regular Show creator J.G. Quintel).
5/16: HBO has ordered 10 episodes of the new horror anthology Lovecraft Country, an adaptation of Matt Ruff's novel from Jordan Peele (Get Out) and Misha Green (Underground).
5/16: ABC has announced its fall schedule and 13 new shows for the 2017-18 season, and has also confirmed that it will air new revivals of classic sitcom Roseanne and former Fox hit American Idol.
5/16: The Young Pope (HBO) will not return for a 2nd season, but taking its place is a new miniseries, The New Pope, which will feature a mostly (or entirely) different cast (and, obviously, a different Pope). One thing it will share with the original show is creator Paolo Sorrentino.
5/15: Quantico (ABC) renewed for a 13-episode 3rd season.
5/15: The Odd Couple (CBS) canceled.
5/15: Fox has announced its fall schedule and 6 new shows for the 2017-18 season.
5/15: Scream Queens (Fox) canceled.
5/14: Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (CBS) canceled.
5/14: Code Black (CBS) renewed for a 3rd season.

5/14: NBC has omitted Chicago Justice or Trial and Error from its 2017-18 lineup, though the network could still opt to renew one or both. A final decision is expected later this month.

5/12: CBS has announced its second batch of newcomers for 2017-18 (following the previously announced Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon): comedy Me, Myself and I (tracing one man's life in three time periods, played by John Larroquette, Bobby Moynihan, and a kid), Mark Feuerstein comedy 9JKL, Jeremy Piven-led crime procedural Wisdom of the Crowd, James Patterson crime novel adaptation Instinct, the self-explanatory action drama SEAL Team, and a remake of the crime series S.W.A.T.
5/12: Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox) renewed for a 5th season.

5/11: The unoffical cancellation of Powerless (NBC) is now official.
5/11: ABC has canceled American Crime, The Catch, Dr. Ken, Imaginary Mary, The Real O'Neals, and Secrets and Lies.
5/11: ABC has renewed American Housewife, black-ish, Designated Survivor, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Once Upon a Time. The latter will likely have a major cast shake-up for its 7th season.
5/11: ABC has announced six series pickups for next season: political thriller The Crossing, Shonda Rhimes' legal drama For the People, House creator David Shore's latest medical drama The Good Doctor, guy-talks-to-god feel-good drama The Gospel of Kevin, musical comedy The Mayor (about an aspiring rapper who runs for mayor), and an untitled Zach Braff series based on the Gimlet Media podcast StartUp.

5/10: NBC has renewed 3 of its 4 Chicago dramas, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D. The fate of the 4th (Chicago Justice) remains up in the air.

5/10: Blindspot (NBC) renewed for a 3rd season.
5/10: The CW has ordered a reboot of the 1980s primetime soap Dynasty from the creators of Gossip Girl for next season. The network has also given a series order to military thriller Valor.
5/10: Bypassing its usual pilot process, Amazon has ordered 8 episodes of big-budget fantasy drama Carnival Row from Rene Echevarria. It won't stream until 2019.
5/10: Fox has added medical drama The Resident to its 2017-18 lineup. Emily VanCamp and Matt Czuchry will star.
5/10: Scandal (ABC) will end with the upcoming season 7, reports TVLine.
5/10: Fox has added two comedies for the 2017-18 season: Ghosted, a paranormal investigation spoof starring Adam Scott and Craig Robinson, and LA>Vegas, a Will Ferrell-produced series set mainly onboard a plane.
5/10: FXX has ordered 10 episodes of the tentatively titled Marvel's Deadpool, an adult-targeted animated series from Donald Glover.

5/4: The Chris Gethard Show has been renewed for a 16-episode 3rd season, but will move from Fusion to truTV and will switch to a live format.
5/3: The Handmaid's Tale (Hulu) renewed for a 2nd season. The streaming service as also ordered a new live-action Marvel series, Marvel’s Runaways, and a sci-fi drama about Mars colonization, The First, from House of Cards creator Beau Willimon. All will debut in 2018.

3/23: CBS has renewed 16 series for next season: 48 Hours, 60 Minutes, Blue Bloods, Bull, Hawaii Five-0, Kevin Can Wait, Life in Pieces, MacGyver, Madam Secretary, Man With a Plan, Mom, NCIS: LA, NCIS New Orleans, Scorpion, Superior Donuts, and Survivor.
