Few thrills, but bags of challenge. [Feb 2014, p.86]
Sega managed to take one of its 1980s arcade classics and turned into an attractive conversion able to keep the gamers happy and entertained. With gameplay that adapts perfectly to short gaming sessions and a very competent transition from the arcade to the handheld format, 3D Super Hang-on crowns it with a perfectly smooth 3D effect. This is an effort that deserves to be experienced.
Totally unexpectedly, SEGA trumps Nintendo's own line of 3D Classics on its own system with a more feature-rich experience coming literally at the price of a regular NES game sold with no graphical or gameplay improvements whatsoever.
It's a short ride, sure, but one that's worth jumping into again and again.
In the end, I appreciate the story behind the development of this port more than I appreciate the game itself. M2's attention to details and their efforts to give players an authentic experience are to be commended, but I wish the game were more deserving of the lavish care put into it.
The ultimate remastering of a classic arcade experience, but one that's just for the fans.

Summary Super Hang-on is an arcade motorbike racing game by Sega. It features two modes, arcade and original mode. In original mode you race against different level opponents to earn money to customise your bike.
