Paper Jam Bros truly is a gem. Lengthy, rewarding, full of surprises, it manages to capture both spirits, the Mario & Luigi and the Paper ones. Don't miss this game.
Adding Paper Mario to this fun mix is very balanced. In some cases he is a good choice, but he also makes the attack options bigger for your enemies. Timing is essential and if you do not have it, this game will be an even tougher cookie than it already is. Paper Jam Bros. feels like confetti: colorful with lots of variety and content. To make this party even better, the cutesy dialogues are very funny.
By shoving the story aside and doubling down on its great battle system, Paper Jam smartly emphasizes what the series does best. Some of the padding can be a little annoying, but the way paper-thin characters add new angles to enemy encounters makes this crossover more than just a simple gimmick.
The usual, beautiful Mario & Luigi. The innovations introduced by this chapter are enough to infuse a bit of variety to the adventure. For the rest, it is the usual great mix of action, platform and RPG.
Without a doubt, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. is just as solid an RPG adventure as its predecessors, avoiding the pit that Partners in Time fell into with its multi-character approach.
As expected, fitting Paper Mario into the universe of Mario & Luigi falls flat from a narrative point of view, although Paper Jam Bros. brilliantly unfolds the multifaceted powers of Mario's slimmest incarnation.
I don't think Paper Jam is as good as the masterpiece that preceded it, but it's still a fantastic game. The gameplay is still fun, the music is still great (maybe even my favorite soundtrack in the series), and it gave Paper Mario the treatment that Sticker Star wishes it could give. Now, if only the story was a little better...
absolutely terrible , an embarrassment for the series the world is boring and not fun to traverse it is basically 7 cliché Mario locations with no depth grassy plains , desert , beach , castle , haunted woods and snowy mountain , other mario and luigi games worlds were interesting to explore and weird , like compare twinsy tropics to driftwood beach and plaque beach , twinsy tropics is a boring beach place where you do toad quests and that's about it , driftwood had caves pirate shy guys and exportability , plaque beach had the giant sage tower and tooth theme , also the reliance on already existing characters and enemies makes it feel lazy and boring like they couldn't be bothered making any original characters like in the past 4 games , also the bosses story and battles are very boring the only boss I liked in the game was king bob-omb but that's because he has a gimmick and a mildly interesting fight , most bosses in this game had boring attack patterns and not too hard either , they just feel like big enemies and 3 special attacks in one turn whittles them down quickly , the games plot is nothing special basically the same as the last games , if your world is boring and don't have a good story to tell why should I care , sorry this was probably formatted terribly .
