Still, Music On: Electric Guitar is a cheap and useful tool that most guitarists could probably appreciate as a way to get their music on (see what I did there) while on the go.

Newcomers should hold off on this one given the lack of any kind of tutorial, as should the left-handed, but if you're after a simple way to carry an instant jam session around with you, then it's a rock-solid option.

Music On: Electric Guitar has tried hard in some aspects to replicate how it feels and sounds to play a guitar. It's certainly not a bad effort, but the lack of additional features hurts the app. In addition, the concept won't appeal to everyone, but those that are intrigued will find reasons to come back for a five minute twiddle when the situation permits.

It’s bland, isn’t as functional as it should be, and has been superseded by far better apps that you can use on your phone. Where it had some use 5 years ago when it was originally released on the DS, there’s really very little reason for Music On: Electric Guitar to exist anymore.

The publication of Music On Electric Guitar without any addition to what had already been unsuccessful a few years ago on DSiWare is, frankly, incomprehensible.
