A fantastic portable version of the ultimate Nintendo brawler, Super Smash Bros. 3DS gives the player the complete experience of the beloved franchise, despite control shortcomings related more to platform limitations than to game design flaws.

A highly polished iteration of Smash Bros. that plays great on its own. But when you're afflicted by latency problems in local multiplayer, you'll suddenly become painfully aware of the 3DS version's critical shortcomings.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have liked this game too much, because it's like a combination of all Super Smash Bros. games, yup, the online mode is a lot laggy, but I can support it. the New Super Mario Bros. 2 map is pretty original, because when you collect 100 coins, you transform into golden, that makes you stronger, but it ends at some seconds.
I have liked all New Characters, the MAJORLY of the final smashes are fun, like pacman's or greninja's, and you can create your own character using for base a MII character that you maked. you can custom it visually and change the "B" attacks.

    It's a 9 for me.

Not as good as the Wii U version but still a great game. The graphics are okay. The character selection is awesome. The Smash Run mode is funNot as good as the Wii U version but still a great game. The graphics are okay. The character selection is awesome. The Smash Run mode is fun but Smash Tour is better. The gameplay is great. Super Smash Bros for 3DS is good but if you had to choose one, I would say Wii U. If both, it's worth buying. Expand

Smash for 3DS is pretty cool, but some of the characters could have been better, such as Mega Man and Palutena. Letting Namco develop this is the biggest mistake ever made for the Smash Bros franchise oh and Sakurai is a terrible director as well becauseLetting Namco develop this is the biggest mistake ever made for the Smash Bros franchise oh and Sakurai is a terrible director as well because all he is doing is promoting his mediocre overrated Kirby series. Seriously. Kirby got more screen time than Rosalina in her OWN trailer and was even shown last. Anyway the blast zones are too big, ledge mechanic sucks (I prefer tripping over this crap and I am serious) and it's the most unbalanced character roster in the franchise because of how many playable characters there are this time and just when you think it can't get any worse they're adding Mewtwo! The fact this game is getting balance patches already proves my point. The Wii U could be the best game but the 3DS version is more unplayable then Sonic 2006 and your Circle Pad will break too if you play this game competitively. Smash Run is a stupid gimmick and custom move sets are dumb because Sonic doesn't have Tails as a recovery, Toon Link doesn't have the leaf as a recovery from the Wind Waker as a recovery and Olimar doesn't have Pikmin from Pikmin 3! Get with the program Sakurai! Don't buy this game. Just wait for the Wii U version. Please. Oh and if you own this game. Sell it and use that money for the Mewtwo DLC for the Wii U version. Collapse
