But Heroes’s oddest design choice is surely its violation of a Zelda tradition since time immemorial (i.e. 1986): Link can’t jump.

Nintendo had a fantastic idea with Tri Force Heroes, but the premise is underserved and undermined by some fundamental design issues and shaky online infrastructure. It's nothing short of a tragedy to wait a whole decade for another multiplayer Zelda and receive what feels like a largely unfinished idea with great potential.

Despite the Zelda name, Triforce Heroes feels more like an uneven spin-off than a core part of the franchise’s storied legacy. The frequent hopping between difficult combat and relatively straightforward three-man puzzles feels a bit disjointed and empty without the series’ usual sense of adventure and advancement. Still, if you have a couple of friends who want to goof off with their 3DS systems in tow, you could do worse.

Play it alone and the game is at its worst and around a 6

Its as simple as that people, stop grading this game based on when it is at its worst. its a good solid Zelda game with nice dungeons, a neat little story and a very nice little hub world filled with nice characters. What makes this game good or bad is your tolerance for people. (and I love people so I am giving it a 9)

I love the 4 swords series, and this game is the biggest let down. I would only recommend it for local 3 player game play. Anything else isI love the 4 swords series, and this game is the biggest let down. I would only recommend it for local 3 player game play. Anything else is garbage.

Not the right stage? someone is quitting.
disconnects end stage for all players.

Someone losing obv in colisseum? they quit, cancelling the fight.

Someone has infinitely better equipment? they will destroy you 9 out of 10 in coliseum.

awkward puzzle mechanic makes you look like your griefing? someone quit.

complicated puzzle? use 6 emojis to explain:
hey there's a water flower down here.
hey you two need to be on thst side of the balance beam, me and the statue balance the weight.
everyone stay on the water at all times or we will lose.
Hey totEm and stay where those hearts are, too many people getting hit for this boss.

this could have been done 100000000 times better. Literally remaking 4 swords with random joining, no ending on quit would be perfect.

The friendship teamwork garbage is also literally the OPPOSITE of successful 4 swords.

That said, it's online link to the Past battling, something much desired for decade+.

it's a must play for fans, but you will have a bad time if 2 friends don't also have it.
