TXR 2 delivers enough improvements and additions on the original formula to keep the fans happy and give the first-timers a racing experience that lives up to today's tough standards.
The result is something that comes close to being a masterpiece for its uniqueness within the racing genre and the sheer fun of its gameplay.
If you've got tons of free time to devote to racing, purchasing, and modifying scores of cars, this might be what you're looking for.
Your mileage may vary, but this is one heck of an enjoyable game IF you're into competition more than racing, and into challenging one-player challenges than racing thrills.
I really enjoy this game. It's just that too many things slow down what could have been a truly amazing experience.
And maybe in the future, you can race through more than just one road in Tokyo.
