There's enough skaters, objectives, levels, and secrets to unlock to keep you going for weeks, if not months, and even after you've mastered the entire game, you'll be coming back for more.
  2. The comparison between THPS2 for the Dreamcast and PlayStation can be directly correlated to a comparison of Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.... Because Spears (like the Dreamcast version) is four times as enhanced as Aguilera, she is recognized as a better product.
  3. More game play, more parks, more sounds and more options than you can shake a stick at - Tony Hawk's just got better.

Nothing on Dreamcast comes close to matching this game in terms of action and fun.

Once you get the controls down, you're in for the greatest board meeting of your life.
  6. The graphics, by the way, are brilliant. The textures are realistic, the framerate hauls, the characters look great and there's very little pop-up.

Tony Hawk 2 manages to take everything that made the first game so damn cool, and cranks it up to 11.
  8. 99
One of the best games of all time. There, I've said it.
  9. Dreamcast owners can enjoy what is easily the best version of the game to be released thus far.
  10. Game Fan

Remodeled player models, higher resolution textures, even better lighting features all top the list of Dreamcast over PlayStation improvements.
  11. This game is a must have for any skateboarder or skateboard fan, and if you are a person looking for a game that will hold your attention span longer than an infomercial about George Foreman's lean mean cooking machine, by all means head to your local game retailer and purchase a copy of this game.

The tricks are so easy to perform that even a person with little or not interest in the actual sport can have a great time. This is a title than is fun for virtually anyone.
  13. Rewarding gameplay, close to infinite replay value.

The 2-player mode is outrageously fun.
  15. Sega X

Skateboarding fanatics will eat this game up.
  16. Nose/tailslides, nose/bluntslides, varial flips, a multitude of new grabs, expanded inverts, lip tricks, manuals, and more realistic switch skating are all included.
  17. CNET Gamecenter

Featuring improved graphics and tighter control, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is all but assured legendary status.
  18. Dreamcast HQ

THPS2 takes the original game, pulls it into the garage, and puts the whole supercharger extras package on, and peels out to you. The skateboarding experience punches up 2-3 notches to a game that is definitely worthy of your attention.

Now this game was what I remember being the best version of Tony Hawk 2 because I played this version the most. One the best graphics comparedNow this game was what I remember being the best version of Tony Hawk 2 because I played this version the most. One the best graphics compared to the PS1 and N64 and from what I have seen of the PC basically the same graphics. We don't get Private Carrea but instead we go Trixie who looked like she was born in Porn Hub. The replay value is the highest of a Tony Hawk game because lots of times to get Trixie u have to find every gap and there are at least 40 gaps in every level across 8 levels. U also have to beat the game with every skater to unlock Skate Heaven which is the Heaven for skateboarding. Overrall I know people love to hate the Dreamcast but in the end it plays the same old THPS2 we all loved. Full Review »

The best version of THPS2 hands down. All the hype and praise went to the PS1 version but really the version that has stood the test of timeThe best version of THPS2 hands down. All the hype and praise went to the PS1 version but really the version that has stood the test of time and has aged well was the Dreamcast version. And after playing this game for a while I can see why this went on to change skateboarding culture forever. A rememberable soundtrack and great level design make this one of the best Tony Hawk games ever! Full Review »
