Cookie & Cream is a terrific game that is only hindered by its appearance. The cute and fuzzy bunny motif will likely distance the game from most players at the local shop, but I assure you it makes you no less of a hardcore gamer to enjoy the finer delicacies from the Land of the Rising Sun.
It's a perfect fit for the dual screens, and the simultaneous two-rabbit control works well:: each half on its own would be too simple, but playing them together is interesting. [Oct 2007, p.73]
It uses the DS's unique control system in a way which we can only hope is emulated in other games.
The main single-player mode remains way too clunky for me to award this game high marks. That said, the great parts of this game are really something to experience.
If you crave innovation and have the patience to deal with Cookie & Cream's shortcomings, the title offers a creative, charming, and mostly satisfying adventure. [July 2007, p.93]
I can see the novel ideas going on here, but this game needs some serious extra time in the oven. Also, an analog stick. [Vol 3, Issue 2, p.63]
There’s some minigames and a wi-fi Battle mode, but good luck trying to play with a friend more than once. We wanted to adore Cookie & Cream; it’s a shame we only get a clumsy mess.
