Guitar Rock Tour is a great effort. It's a Guitar Hero beater (just about) but with more songs it would have been pretty special.
-
If you don't care about the quality of the covers, then you'll get more out of the game, but even the most serious of audiophiles will find some fun rocking their way to headliner status.
-
It is not that this game is bad, it is just a little harder to justify a purchase when Guitar Hero does so much more.
-
The game is a shadow of its more popular cousins. If you have an itch to rock out on your DS, then I think you know which way to go.
-
While the note-plucking, drum-whacking mechanics of the game are fine, there just aren't enough songs to sustain interest.
-
There’s also a two-player co-op wireless mode, though the fact that both players need the game make it seem unlikely you’ll use it much. Overall, this isn’t a bad game, but it really does feel like the other half is out there somewhere waiting to be found. If it were $15 or $20, we’d say give it a shot. But at press time, it’s $30, only ten dollars cheaper than the latest Guitar Hero game on DS.
-
Guitar Rock Tour is a wannabe Guitar Hero. In a time when music simulation games are going all out with original songs, bonus features and other goodies, Gameloft's bottom of the barrel effort fails to thrill.
