    My Horse & Me is a well produced family oriented game that focuses on the fun of owning a horse. Spending time with your virtual horse is stress free, simple to learn and most importantly, fun.

    If all you seek is the novelty factor and don't care about gameplay, My Horse and Me is a galloping time. Not a good or great time, but a time nonetheless. If any form of interactive entertainment is desired, you'll have to jump over many, many hurdles to find it.

    The fact of the matter is there are better, and worse, horse games for the DS out there. Nothing new is offered or improved upon, making My Horse and Me entirely forgettable.

    The developers in charge of the DS version must have not cared enough about the game to spend some time fixing the major problems. Even if this game is targeted towards young girls, they deserve better than this.

    This game is only worth it if you want to get your daughter to stop begging for a pony. Once she plays this, she'll never ask for a horse again.

    I love this game. It is so fun and i also own a real horse. actully 2. i love them. this game is so worth it!!!

    I think the reviews are a little unfair. There's no real storyline, and it is very limited, but it is alright. My favourite part of the I think the reviews are a little unfair. There's no real storyline, and it is very limited, but it is alright. My favourite part of the game is the care aspect. I'm 13, and have been around horses for a large part of my life. It is brilliant that, for once, you can do more than muck out, groom and pick out hooves. You can bandage your horses legs, nail on shoes, feed and water your horse, clean his teeth and much more. Yet, the riding isn't so good. There are competitions and challenges. The challenges (there are 6, which is no where near enough to keep a child occupied) include show jumping, cross country (as it's called, but it has show jumps so it's jump cross) and an odd game they call horseball where you push balls through goals with your horses forelegs. The competitions are a little better, with proper show jumping courses and cross country with boring, log fences, and the 'track' competitions, where you have to memorise movements and draw them with your stylus. I haven't finished all the competitions, as I got bored with them, but I am very near. You can also buy clothes for your rider and tack for your horse. The tack can help your horse in certain parts of riding, which I thought was quite clever yet slightly unoriginal (as with all of the game). As this game is aimed towards young, horse mad girls, I think the tack and clothing lacks colour and interesting patterns to liven it up a little. Alright, it's a rather boring game, but the care part is unique in that it is the nearest to what you would actually expect from the day to day care of your own horse, with a lot, lot more unnessercary, but good, parts. It will keep a young horse lover interested for a little while, and maybe longer if, like me, they are determined to complete the whole game. Give the game a chance, it's not the best but it is still ok!… Expand

Even Farnam's now antiquated "3-day eventing" game incorporated ways to extend play with dressage and cross country events and horse care. The graphics and sounds of this game are pretty cool, comparatively speaking. But that only goes so far. After just a few plays, it becomes very boring. In addition, it drove us nuts that it adds "penalties" for failing to jump in the middle of the jump in the jumper classes. Faiilng to jump in the middle has no bearing on a jumper class. Jumping is about sailing over your fences at top speed from whatever angle shortens the distance, without knocking down a rail. If they're going to try to sell a game to horse people, they need to get a horse person involved in the design. Two thumbs down.… Expand
