Ultimately, Lightsaber Duels is only really worth getting for either those who have seen and done everything in The Force Unleashed and crave more Star Wars action or for younger gamers who love the recent Clone Wars cartoons and aren't that interested in the live-action movies.
While acceptable as a guilty pleasure or five-minute filler with a friend, we’re not quite sure what sector of the Star Wars fanbase Lightsaber Duels will appeal to. With none of the original characters or locations to help older fans overlook the game’s foibles, and a control system that might not suit Star Wars-loving younglings, it could end up missing the mark completely, which is a shame as with a little more attention this could have been a fan favourite.

Finest Wii game that can be bought in opinion, this has a lot of movement freedom and it is simple to reach grand master if fun is in pitch along with it. Suppose to extend help with gaming in a real time response time the bad guys can be made short work of if fine with that sort of thing. Neat technology with it.

Though the game has very few characters to play as, it still does its job as a fantastic sword fighting game for the wii, honestly if any video game has my favorite villain of all time in it as a playable character, General Grievous, I think its an awesome game

Perhaps given more development time, Krome Studios could have turned out a fitting tribute to one of science fiction's most enduring franchises. Sadly, however, Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels isn't the game we were all hoping for.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is nothing more than a mediocre fighter that’s hampered by unimaginative waggle controls and simplistic gameplay.
Children up to the age of ten will be satisfied by the performance of the game, so parents can buy this game without worrying about violence. For the core-gamer, there is no need to buy Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
It's the closest a videogame has come to giving players mastery of the ultimate sci-fi weapon, though the controls are so simple, and the story and multiplayer options so lacking, that it will likely appeal only to the same young boys as the film, which hits homevideo this week.
All quibbles about presentation and content aside, the game is simply incapable of delivering the sort of fluid gameplay the concept demands.
This game got a lot of mixed reviews. It’s either you love it or hate it. I don’t have the nostalgic love for this game like many do but I missed out on it back in the day because the Wii had such a huge selection of games that sometimes these Star Wars games are just cash grabs and the license is put to bad use. But lightsaber duels is pretty awesome. Its basically a fighting game but it’s really pick up and play and quite the joy to fire up when you have your casual gaming friends over. It’s not overly simple and it does have decent depth to it but truly anyone can have a good time with it and it doesn’t take forever to learn the controls which is a turn off to a lot if people these days. The single player portion is just getting to know how to play the game. The story is from the clone wars cartoon which if your a fan of Star Wars then you know what’s going on. But it’s called lightsaber duels for a reason and that’s the multiplayer part which really makes it so awesome. It’s not a very hard game to find in pawn shops or amazon for cheap...I bought my copy for 3$ so if you want a good multiplayer game. Pick it ****’s truly a good time.

Moving your Wii remote as if it were a lightsaber is very responsive. The game can quickly get very tiring because in order to win, you will need to swing the control around constantly. Graphics are good, the main story is short but sweet. It is somewhat addicting. There are not as many characters available as you may want, but it is generally short but fun.

Lightsaber Duels does nothing more than drop a bunch of characters from the Star Wars universe and pits them on a 1 on 1 lightsaber battle. Sounds cool right? It's executed poorly and looks as if it were only an easy cash in for unsuspecting younger audiences. I played through the whole game thinking there was strategy, but I did much better simply waggling the controller. The graphics are sharp though and particle effects are not too shabby. What's truly insulting however, is the amount of content. With barely 10 characters to choose from, only a handful of stages, and absolutely no multiplayer, I burned through all the game had to offer in 25 minutes. Does that sound like a good way to spend $50? The force is not with this one.

It’s so bad it’s become a meme in my immediate circle
Overly repetitive
“Gameplay” that rewards mindless spamming because the Wii controls seem to basically not function properly

I just want to get this review done so the agony of thinking about it can end
