WarioWare: D.I.Y. comes with more than 90 pre-made games to play, but players who have access to a broadband Internet connection can wirelessly download a virtually endless supply of user-generated games, or upload their own creations to share with the world. Every DS gamer should give it a whirl, regardless of their design ambition, even if just to get a sense of what wacky creativity lies in the minds of their fellow gamers.

Every step of the way, you'll feel the classic Nintendo touch. [Issue#96, p.98]
  3. Using the simple, lighthearted game approach from WarioWare titles and pairing that with an actual use for the design tools in Mario Paint, Nintendo has brought us a great new tool for creating our own Microgames.

Creativity often thrives under the most severe limitations, and those who relish the opportunity to entertain others (or even just themselves) in videogame form will love WarioWare D.I.Y. It provides a detailed yet streamlined mechanism for creativity, meaning the challenge is in coming up with creative ideas rather than wrestling with the interface.
  5. For those of us with purer nail-hitting, dog-poking and badger-stomping in mind, the pleasure will have to remain in the doing.
  6. If you don't like the philosophy of "play, create and share", maybe you won't like D.I.Y.. But, still, the package of 90 microgames can be interesting.
  7. There are good ideas here, and around 100 pre-made micro-games to play, but WarioWare: D.I.Y. ultimately reveals itself as an obscure, cluttered experience.

Even if you have zero creativity, you can still edit the existing games, changing, for example, a balloon-popping game into a flying monkey-shooting game. There is no end to the content, especially if you have many friends with the game to share over wifi. It has it's limits, but within those, your creativity is pushed to ITS limits. This game is awesome. Expand

The main idea in this game is to create your own minigames, there are even rewards for your efforts. There are also quite a few pre-installed minigames in it as well. The only parts to this game that I don't like are: 1-Orbulon's number sliding puzzle 2-slightly limited for certain aspects when creating minigames (mainly how much actions you can make). It was fun when my brother and I first got it and we would play the game for quite some time. It's fairly simplistic and none of the preset minigames are really anything good. It's fun to make games and even more fun to see how they sell and try to compete against someone which in my case was my brother. Occasionally I do go back to play this game, not to make games, just to look at my previous creations and have a nostalgic trip back to how bad I was at making games and drawing. Expand
