I understand the need to simplify things for use on the GBA, but even the fact that all the spells use the same art seems a bit disappointing. With that said, though, the graphics do what they should - carry the solid gameplay through.
A game that has plenty to offer fans of the genre, combining great strategy with great action.

Despite it's aesthetic weaknesses, Sempai Legends is a good trading-card game and definitely a match for its competitors.
Duel Masters throws one duel after another at you with little reward beyond a new card and making it one step closer to the end of the game. You've got to really like the Duel Masters card game or else this will get old and fast.
A welcome tutorial teaches the basics, and a gradual ramping up of difficulty guarantees that you'll have t a chance to develop your skills before you take on tough challenges. [Aug 2004, p.123]
The entire package is just out there riding the coat tales of the involving Yu-Gi-Oh games, or the incredibly diverse and playable Pokemon titles. As such, I urge every hard working parent to opt for one of those for their kids instead.
