  1. Two way link–up mode (as with many of the best puzzle games) is what makes Eggo Mania a really good game, and this along with the power ups, different modes and hideously addictive gameplay make Eggo Mania an essential buy if you’re a puzzle fan.
  2. Egg Mania isn’t the best puzzle game around but it is one of the most original and is visually appealing.

This game is cute, from the gurgly little noises the eggs make to the vibrant use of primary colors. But don't let that throw you. This game is serious fun.

Breathes new life into the formula with some platform-inspired madness. [Oct 2002, p.94]

If you can get your mind past the whole "egg" thing, you'll find this is one of the most structurally sound puzzle games on the GBA so far.
  6. 70
It definitely won't set the world ablaze with its design, but it's a fun, graphically impressive little game that makes for one of those quick sessions on the GBA.

Egg Mania is a really great puzzle game. It's like Tetris, but at the same time, it's not.

Building up your tower to get to the top sounds
Egg Mania is a really great puzzle game. It's like Tetris, but at the same time, it's not.

Building up your tower to get to the top sounds simple, but here's the catch, you and your opponent can attack each others tower with bombs and hammers. That makes something simple, sound hard, but it really happens more at higher levels. Luckily, the tutorial in the game is pretty simple, it tells you how to jump, place blocks, rotate blocks, drop down to lower spots on your tower, and drop blocks.

It's extra modes are pretty fun too.
Survival) Beat as many opponents in a row without losing at a difficulty of your liking
Solo) Get to the top while scoring points and see how much points you can obtain. Watch out though, the water rises as well.
Time Trial) Get to the top as fast as you can, and try to beat your record. Your opponent will first copy everything you do, but after the first game, your opponent will copy your best time.
Bomb) Knock down your opponents tower with bombs and hammers. you can also build up your tower in later levels/higher difficulties

Some problems I have is the voice that counts down "3, 2, 1, GO" and says "You're a winner" or "Loser", I find it kind of annoying, and when trying Hard difficulty, your opponent throws bombs and hammers like heck, so when going for higher difficulties, you need speed over skill. Other than that, I recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a puzzle game to play.
