The surprising thing about Scaler is the game is just plain fun to play. The gameplay is robust with reasonably challenging puzzles to solve, the control system is enjoyable as Scaler is easy to move and smooth, and the story is humorous with a solid plot.
It looks amazing, sounds great, and most importantly, it's a lot of fun. What's even more impressive is that all of this entertainment is offered at such a reasonable price.

this game is a prized memery from my childhood i may not be able to play it anymore but i will never forget the fun i had with it.awsome gameplay great charicters and a decent story make this a great joy to playthroth

When it is all said and done, Scaler isn't much more than your functional, slightly-but-not-much above average platformer. For $20, there are certainly worst buys and the game would complement perfectly "Ty 2" and "Tak 2" for a platform-hungry younger gamer.
It's not entirely engaging or original, but it is fun. It's attractive, sounds nice, and the story-for all its faults-can be ignored safely with no detrimental effects.
This just isn't an especially engaging game, so it's unlikely that anyone past the youngest of audiences will get too much fun from it.
One of the biggest issues with this game is the common sense factor, meaning that the common sense of a person starts to balk at some of the things expected in the game.
