With its $30 price tag, the game is perfect for pinchpennies, but there might've been more: more hilarity, more reflex testers, and more ways to tap Nintendo's rich history. [May 2004, p.106]
-
The Cube version lacks innovation, is disappointing and is almost a complete copy of the GBA version.
-
This GameCube update is largely the same as last year's Game Boy Advance game, right down to the GBA-quality graphics used in the minigames themselves.
-
I think this game will be best suited to two groups: those who missed the GBA version, and hardcore WarioWare freaks. [Apr 2004, p.100]
-
At times the multiplayer features can be quite entertaining but there may not be enough wrinkles added to the gameplay to keep groups playing. [Score = 94 if no experience with GBA game]
-
A decent party game for the attention deficit disorder crowd, but the single-player game doesn't offer much that you won't have already experienced in the Game Boy Advance version.
-
Overall, the single-player mode lacks the charm of the portable edition, and, especially for those new to the series, the multiplayer can't compete with the welcoming embrace that the "Mario Party" series is known for. [May 2004, p.68]
-
The Gamecube version presents the microgames as the kitschy things they are by placing them on a multiplayer pedestal. Sitting on a sofa with friends, when it's not apparent what you're supposed to do, a certain kind of unique frustration arises. [JPN Import]
-
It's not perfect, and we hope Nintendo takes the concept further, but it's still well worth checking out even for a few hours' worth of hilarity.
-
games(TM)It might not sound like much of a change, but the shift of focus into multiplayer territory is quite enough to make Wario Ware appealing all over again. [May 2004, p.108]

Weekly Famitsu7 / 7 / 7 / 6 - 27 [Vol 775]
-
It's one of those games that will get old fast when played alone, but with a bunch of friends will stand the test of time.
-
The graphics and sound are largely pulled from the Game Boy Advance game. So we're running some graphics far below the GameCube's level.
-
While it delivers much of the same experiences as before it is its refusal to evolve past its original makeup that proves to be its biggest hurdle.
-
Cheat Code CentralHow many GBA to console ports can you name? Me neither. This is definitely one and it shows. But despite the somewhat rushed presentation which tries unsuccessfully to combine new graphics and menus with those of 32-bit system, this is still one heck of a fun game - with a four-player mode to boot.
-
While the brevity of games would seem to cater to those on Ritalin, the truth of the matter is you can never relax, which is a big part of the appeal. WarioWare's challenge doesn't necessarily lie in the task itself, but in doing it while under duress.
-
Despite its sophomoric appearance and single player weakness, the game has multiplayer potential that makes it a must-have party game.
