Her Story is likely worth playing if only because it is so profoundly different. When you throw in solid writing, passable acting, and the need for players to reach their own conclusions about what happened, it comes together exceptionally well.
Tells a fantastic story in a unique manner. [Summer 2015, p.77]

This is one of the most unique gaming experiences I´ve ever had.
To the people who think that this is not a game: Seriously? Where is the line? In my opinion, it doesn´t even matter it it´s a game. It´s an amazing storyline that you get to follow, similar to Life is Strange.

Impressive performance by Viva Seifert, great job by Sam Barlow. You will definitely feel like a true detective.
I won't stop until I've seen every little clip and then I'll hope for another game. The concept will work two, three or even four times. Agatha Christie didn't only write one book either.
A fascinating and exciting experiment. It certainly tells a strong story, but it's the unique way in which it presents that story that makes the game so compelling. I can safely say I've never played anything quite like Her Story before, and while I don't necessarily think the "search engine murder mystery" genre needs to become the Next Big Thing, I cannot help but greatly admire the unusual ideas Her Story presents about how we tell and interact with stories in games.
Despite the addictiveness of a Google-like search for murder clues, neither the artificial screen glare nor actress Viva Seifert's performance lend credibility to Her Story's lady-psychopath clichés.

Это не совсем типичный геймеру продукт;
создатель решил нарезать (русских [нет]) фильмец на маленькие кусочки, передвигаясь от одного из них к другому через слова.
Одной из положительных черт можно назвать длительность сего художственного произведения характерная двум часам игрового геймлея. Ни короткий, ни длинный; ни толстый, ни тонкий.

The game doesn’t have a satisfying ending. It’s unnatural and disappointing, felt like the game was a waste of time when I started searching for numbers from one to ten just to find new and irrelevant clips.
More like a google search simulator to me. Only has one type of interaction and one type of stimulus during the whole experience, which makes it a bland and unidimensional interactive story.
You just keep waiting for something to happen, and the game doesn’t give you indications of progress besides some, little animations and database percentages. The chat system is poor, it could help me to see that I am doing progress.
