Alto's Odyssey is an improvement on an already great, classic iOS game. I never thought that you could improve on perfection, but Team Alto has done it. The graphics in Odyssey look even better than the first, and those were already great. The music is soothing and immersive, the new mechanics just add another layer of depth to everything, and there's high replay value. I mean, honestly, what more do you want? Plus, it's a premium game with zero in-app purchases, which is a rarity these days.

Alto’s Odyssey not only serves up a fantastic succession to the original Alto’s Adventure but also delivers a gaming experience for the ages.

Simply put, Alto’s Odyssey is the best runner on the App Store. That’s not to say it’s good for a runner, mind you, it’s an amazing game by any metric. It’s got a ton of variety, it’s beautiful, and it’s satisfying, whether you’re playing it for two minutes or two hours.

A stunning looking, cathartic experience that builds subtly on what's come before. Just go and get it.

Alto's Odyssey is a great sequel to a great game that introduces new ways to pass through spectacularly designed levels. It's the perfect game to unwind after a long day with a great soundtrack, sound effects, and a feeling that you're traveling through a new and exotic world every time you play.

Sensational experience, exceptional art, perfect continuation. Alto's Odyssey deserves a number of superlatives, but it all concludes in one fact - this is currently the best endless runner that brings true catharsis.

Transplanting its action from the snow of Alto’s Adventure to a desert makes less difference than you might imagine to this beautiful-looking, almost meditative sandboarding game. Sharing a great deal with the first outing, you’ll once again be sliding down undulating, procedurally-generated terrain, popping tricks, hopping over rocks, chasms and bonfires and occasionally racing stray lemurs. Its perpetual magic hour lighting and immaculately drawn visuals complement the serene action, in which you can now wall-ride to extend your chain of tricks, even if players of the original may feel they’ve seen much of this before.

Where the previous Alto game (Alto's adventure) made me feel it helped me perform the most awesome stunts, this game is an a**hole. TheWhere the previous Alto game (Alto's adventure) made me feel it helped me perform the most awesome stunts, this game is an a**hole. The (admittedly gorgeous) lighting effects reduce visibility and there are more obstacles that seem character specific. The new wall grinding chasms are too hard. Probably because of the graphics, it runs jerky on anything below an Apple A9. So even though this game has better sound, better looking graphics and more evolved gameplay, it sucks. Don't get this, get the older one, which has Llamas. Expand
