Give me good solid gameplay mechanics combined with witty writing any day of the week. To be honest, the game really only has a few tiny drawbacks to it. It seems to make poor decisions when you tap where you want to move your guys, and you need to really zoom the camera around so you can really zero in on your targets.
RPG fans looking for an old school dungeon crawler... this is not it, but what it does offer is fun turn based combat, a humorous plot and lots of loot.
Featuring oversaturated imagery, fun animations, and a healthy attempt at humor, Dungeon Crawlers looks great and offers a fun experience.
A generic presentation doesn't do Dungeon Crawlers any favours. Nor does the irritating game camera. But it's a robust tactical RPG with some smart gags.
Dungeon Crawlers delivers a solid dungeon crawling experience and its turn based combat works really well even if it's hard to control at times. The game looks great and the characters are humorous at times, but it is visually marred by its uninspired interface design. This game also delivers a good amount of original content for the price with more on the way.
A cautious recommendation will have to do. If you're looking for an old-school strategic romp through some very traditional dungeons, you're in the right place. But these aren't play sessions you can cram into five minute smoke breaks. Dungeon Crawlers is built to last - for better or worse, you'll get hours out of it. If you're a sit-back-and-be-patient sort, you'll be just fine.
Dungeon Crawlers is too simple for an RPG. There is no skill tree, no real equipment system and no tactics in all the combat. It's only for you if you are searching for a really soft dungeon experience.
