The Storm came without warning and wiped out 98 percent of the world's population in a flash. Poof. Adios. Sayonara. Then came the monsters, wave after wave, night after night. Destroying everything in their path.

But it's not all doom and gloom. In an abandoned missile silo, weve found one of our first weapons against the Storm you. We're looking for a few good commanders like you to help make a difference, push back the storm and protect those among us who are unable to protect themselves.

Explore the world. Rescue survivors. Make hundreds of guns, swords, and things that go boom. Make impregnable forts. Tastefully decorate with sniper perches, poison gas traps, and jump pads. Take back the world. You know, the usual. And be sure to invite your friends. Welcome to Fortnite.

Although touchscreen outings for first person shooters are normally riddled with wearying compromises, this looks and plays like the full game, even if you can never quite recreate the precision of mouse or even joypad control using touch alone. Of course there are still glitches and places where characters merge alarmingly with scenery, but compared with the Xbox One version of PUBG it’s a technical tour de force.

Epic has done an amazing job. It looks great, and it plays pretty good considering the limitations of the hardware. Also, being able to carry all your progress from another platform is just perfect.

We salute this great mobile adaptation. Fortnite remains one of the best Battle Royale out there thanks to an accessible gameplay and a balanced free to play business model.

Fortnite runs great on iPhone, delivering the same experience we've seen on PC and consoles. Touch controls work fine, but the weapons you usually pick-up during the matches don't fit well with the manual fire approach.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is now on mobile and it is not what we need. The subpar graphics, eh gameplay and the fact that you should play it on computer or console totally ruin the experience. Fortnite is the HOTTEST game in the world right now, moving it to iOS and soon Android is not going to make it any better.

With a little minor updates, Fortnite mobile can be even better.

This is the most unbearable thing I have ever played. Take the console version of Fortnite - then remove the only bit of fun it had (Save the World). On top of that, pile on some slow frame rates; add a dash of microtransactions; and finally, boring and repetitive gameplay. It never ceases to amaze me how humans can be so attracted to something as mundane and 'eh' as this. Expand

Second, this is Fortnite, a childish game with kid looking graphics and furry skins along with stupid emotes. Stop wasting your time on a crappy shooter game. Xbox and PlayStation players go play Call of Duty or Halo (or both). Nintendo players go play Splatoon or the Call of Duty versions on the Wii and Wii U or Smash Bros (or all). Fortnite sucks

They messed up the MOST BASIC MECHANICS of their game, being building and shooting.

Wanna build a 1 by 1, the most basic "structure" you can build? Gonna take you a good 5-10 seconds. Someone building up on you? You'd have better luck going directly under him, and using your pickaxe to break every support of his build than to try to build up to him.

Shooting itself isn't a big issue, it's more trying to aim. They messed up a VERY important thing: being able to shoot, move, AND aim. PUBG mobile pulled this off, so YOU KNOW it isn't because it's not possible, it's because the couldn't care to try. You could turn off tap anywhere to shoot and move the dedicated shoot button (which by default is directly above the movement pad) to where PUBG mobile's shoot button is, but it still wouldn't matter, because you can't move the camera with the same finger while pushing the button. PUBG mobile does it so that you can tap and hold the button, move the camera with the same finger, and move your finger to the other side of the screen, and you would still be shooting. In Fortnite mobile, you either shoot and move you character, or shoot and move the camera.
