And really, what Land Sliders does best is that the game is something you really can play for a minute or for an hour. The sliding mechanic is so good to play with, it makes any session with this game feel satisfying.

The core experience of Land Sliders—flawless controls, entertaining characters, interesting levels, and a variety of viable strategies—is already a fantastic game that we would highly recommend. But Prettygreat has gone even further above and beyond by including a number of secrets and mysteries to uncover that transform Land Sliders from a high score chase into a true adventure.

Addictive mechanics and intuitive controls make a perfect match in Land Sliders, but its fundamental idea is maybe a little too simple to be also durable.

A simple and entertaining enough casual roguelike, Land Sliders doesn't have much meat on its bones, but that's fine.

One of the "professional" reviews said "the game is something you really can play for a minute or for an hour" but if I play for more than five minutes at a time I feel like I've wasted my time, because I've made no real progress. I gave this game a good try over several days but quickly reached a plateau on how far I could get before dying. And stayed there. And stayed there. Because this game is so well tuned to pick up and play and then quickly put down again (like when the elevator reaches your stop), you're really not expected to get beyond level 5 or so. I'm honestly not sure there are any levels beyond that.

The characters are just skins, they don't have any different abilities. Each character can be leveled up, but I couldn't see any difference between a fresh character and one at max level. In the game you collect coins but the only thing you can spend the coins on is unlocking another random character.
