    Metal Slug 1 may be the first game in this exciting shooter series, but we recommend skipping straight to Metal Slug 3.

    While the package is technically sound, the inherent limitations of touchscreen gaming unfortunately just hold Metal Slug 1 back. Only dedicated fans in need of a fix, or those extremely curious, should dig in and check it out.

    METAL SLUG deserves far better than a half-baked port of the classic shoot'em-up platformer - without better consideration to the controls and what the player can (and can't) see, you'd be better off taking a trip to the local arcade instead.
