Once I’m actually playing, I have a ball with this, because it is, in a very real sense, a cultural phenomenon. Never has a game managed to get people to flock over to specific areas of town like birds to seed. People point to it being too simple as a game, but really the game bit is barely relevant. What is relevant is that this game has people out and about, socialising and exploring. There’s a group experience event going on with Pokemon Go, and it’s addictive to simply be part of the collective.
Pokémon tries to go real with an innovative formula. The pokémon creatures goes real and challenge players to explore their own city to become a true Pokémon Master. Niantic and The Pokémon Company needs to focus in their content to bring new challenges for all the Pokémon enthusiasts in the near future.

The game is the best in its genre, thanks to it I learned about AR, first I saw it from friends, helped them collect Pokemon, then I downloaded this game for myself, it was very cool to walk around the city in the summer and collect Pokemon, then I traveled to different cities of Russia and sometimes there were different Pokemon in different cities, for this game I even bought a special bracelet so that it would be convenient to collect Pokemon in winter), it’s a pity that now I can’t play from Russia, but thanks to the developers for the given emotions and good memories

My grandpa has been dying for the past several years, and he had a bucket list to go to many different places around the world. This changed once I showed him Ipogo and PGsharp. He could visit the beautiful streets of Zaragoza or Seattle, or walk around the middle of the ocean doing nothing, it was everything he ever asked for. He even got to see the elusive red “warning notice” screen, he did a flip in his wheelchair once he saw that. Thank you Ipogo and PGsharp, for changing our lives for the better.

Pokemon Go is not a great game. Some important features are missing and bugs are way too frequent. Still, the social implications of Niantic's app are impressive. This game has changed forever the augmented reality market and reshaped the mobile gaming landscape.
This game is a worldwide phenomenon, which says a great deal about how much the fans love Pokémon. The technical issues and the shallow gameplay should have already killed the app, but instead the geocaching and AR make this a social adventure that we will definitely be playing for a long time to come.
Right now, Pokemon Go is an incredible, can’t-miss social experience — like Pokemon is actually real and everyone is on board — but its RPG mechanics and combat don’t have nearly enough depth to support itself in the long term.
Pokémon Go is a surreal experience, and you wonder when the coolness of all this will wear off. But it’s a decidedly Nintendo experience too, steeped in solid gaming fundamentals that should help it maintain a hold on a vast part of its currently massive audience.
So we've got a game that I don't enjoy from any angle (which sucks), but it's also dominating the cultural conversation right now (which is great). I'm torn on this one, honestly! See, I don't recommend Pokémon Go the video game. But I can't get enough of Pokémon Go the cultural artifact. It's a Videodrome-esque obsession, and I'm very disappointed in how excited I am to play my part. Long live the new flesh.
Yea its a mobile Game. But its good! Why are so many hating on it? I cant see why. I love this Game!

Had a lot of fun with it at it's peak! Its a lot more social than it seems and encourages you to get out there and walk around. But as it got more complicated it got more predatory and i can only semi-recommend it

Extra Notes: Although there were moments where the game was janky, this was such a different way to experience Pokemon and genuniely enjoyable when it first was released. They kept improving and adding new gens which was obviously fun to see at the start, but they kept adding more pokemon and other features that over complicated the game.

Pokémon GO is the result of not listening to your community + heavy monetization of your game. The change to Remote Passes was the nail in the coffin, and it just showed how little communication there was between Niantic and the playerbase. The game doesn't feel rewarding enough to motivate you and go out to get some new Pokémons, and Niantic knows that. But, for some reason, they just keep thinking that making staying at home more expensive will motivate players to go outside. But sadly, most in the community don't have enough time to go catching Pokémon for hours.

The thrill of walking around, exploring was awesome, really unique and innovative. But the battling gameplay was rubbish and the app drained battery life too fast.
