Not only did they reduce theWeGo Interactive has taken a wonderful classic, and turned it into a dumbed down, cash grab app for the masses. Not only did they reduce the speed and remove most of the physics, they simply reused every asset from the original game -- including every level and every song. Nothing is new (Unless you consider driving through coins "new").
With all that extra time on their hands, one might expect this to be an improvement on the original -- which, unfortunately, is not the case at all. In fact, why is it even called "Revolt 2"? This is NOT how sequels work. Nintendo didn't take the original Mario World, release on another system with a few changes, and call it Mario World 2 -- because that would be stupid.
As a developer myself, here's how the rule go ...
If every component of a game is being re-used, then your porting a game, and it either needs to be identical to the original, or improved on the original.
Sadly, this is neither of those.
