Worm Jazz is a clever puzzle game that can get challenging as you work your way through the levels, but it’s so forgiving that it mainly just wants you to sit back, relax and listen to some smooth jazz.
Worm Jazz is one of the best puzzlers I’ve played in a long while. It’s intelligent, smooth, stars a hat-wearing worm and features a chilled jazz soundtrack. Nice.
Small issues can’t detract from a solid puzzle game. Worm Jazz offers plenty of challenging head scratchers while providing a relaxing gaming experience at the same time.
Worm Jazz isn't an ambitious or largescale title. There's not a large amount of levels, there's no story or context to the gameplay, and there's only a handful of different mechanics, overall. However, it still succeeds in what it sets out to do; the levels are delightfully fun to squirm through, collecting everything requires some real puzzle expertise, and, most of all, the jazz score is simply entrancing. For its price, Worm Jazz on Nintendo Switch is very good value for fans of the puzzle genre, or for anyone seeking a relaxing way to spend a few hours.
Worm Jazz doesn’t aim for the top of the food chain, but it’s well-designed for its primary task, and it layers some interesting notes together, with an occasional groovy flourish to tickle your grey matter.
While not a gigantic or epic effort, Worm Jazz does its job right and
provides some good fun, even though there's not actually a lot of jazz
here and the experience could be longer. Still, for those looking for
some simple, puzzling action, Worm Jazz does the trick and is worthy of
attention from Nintendo Switch owners.
SummaryWorm Jazz is a wriggly puzzler with a unique blend of game mechanics inspired by familiar classics such as Snake and Bomberman. Features smooth jazz, explosive chain-reactions and dapper headwear.
