Mafia 2 is a great experience, thanks to a believable cast of characters and a wonderful setting. Sadly, the lack of longevity and some technical flaws somehow spoil the global experience, especially if compared with other recent free roaming experiences.
An amazing game about Mafia, it really describes the inner side of the 50s Mafia.
Physics are great, shooting physics are ok, the characters are really well created with differences about the charisma.
A flawless game, almost a movie
Mafia 2 is a well-crafted title that its developers should be proud of, and it is a lot of fun to play despite the many disappointing game decisions and niggles that has tarnished my overall impression of the game.
A deeply flawed game, where the story is the highlight - and far more engaging than most. I certainly enjoyed my 11-12 hours with Mafia II, and those looking for an authentic-feeling mob tale should definitely check it out. This one is more than the sum of its parts.
After 2010 has given us open worlds as complex as Red Dead Redemption, Mafia 2's empty city and two-dimensional campaign is hard to tolerate. No matter how much the game may pride itself on supplying a mature tale of crime, it can't overshadow a relentlessly bland gameplay experience.
THE MOST UNDERRATED GAME IN THE HISTORY OF VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY. after many years that I experience this masterpiece for more than 5 times, I remembered i haven't rated it here. Mafia II was the best game i'd ever played for a long time. the atmosphere, story, music, graphics, ... etc you name it it's so perfect in every aspect. after all these years, I'm still baffled by such a low meta score
Mafia II is a good game overall but comes off a bit disappointing on the end. Thanks to the troubled history development it is only a 1/3 of the game developers wanted to make, it could have been so much more. Yet what we got on release is not bad, solid gameplay and story and characters. Atmosphere is probably the best Mafia II can offer, especially in the beginning chapters. Graphics look amazing for an Xbox 360 title 10 years later, and vehicle physics are top notch.
When i played mafia 2 i thought... What the hell is the G-physics doing here? The game made me feel like playing GTA4 more than ever, because it felt like a watered down version of it. I went and got GTA4 after this because this was simply not passable. The car driving, the voices while driving, and the movement all felt like copy and paste action from 2k from GTA4. This is GTA4 without everything good such as the Euphoria engine or the open world. Yes, this is a mission based game, not open world... Definitely not worth even yellow rating.
Mafia2 is a great disaster for the all fans. Bad graphic, stupid main character, very short story. This is not what we are waiting for. Vito is the worst character ever. He is dum he is non profitable. He want only money, he doest **** girls, stupid and boring mafiosi. Remember first game. Tomy Angelo is alive, not this chipollino Vito, In this game only final is good, so if want cry play this game
So 6.0 no more. Just gta clon
SummaryFeaturing a deep mobster-driven narrative packed with both behind-the-wheel and on-foot action, Mafia 2 is the sequel fans have been clamoring for. Like the original Mafia title, Mafia 2 immerses players in the mob underworld of a fictitious late 1940's-early 1950's scenario. Players easily become engaged in the game's cinematic Hollywoo...
