Spider-Man is a splendidly tuned action game with a stunning story, great action and gameplay mechanisms that won’t bore you for a moment. You should not miss out on this trip among comic heroes. It's a bomb! [Issue#289]
Marvel’s Spider-Man is the best gaming representation of the legendary comic book character to date. Insomniac nailed the smartass tone that has been his calling card better than anyone else and the core action is faster here, with a solid blend of combat and world exploration. It looks great and controls like a dream. Spider-Man has had his troubles in gaming, but Insomniac’s effort checks all the boxes for a top-shelf Spidey experience and delivers a solid storyline that brings its own unique universe to the mix to tell an all-new tale that keeps you engaged and adds some gravitas to everything you do.
This is best Spider-man game ever made, and one of the top games on PlayStation 4. There’s a little something here for everyone and even if you’re just a fan of the movies or a die-hard that reads the plethora of Spidey comic books, you will find something to love.
Marvel's Spider-Man does a spectacular job of making you feel like the ultimate Spider-Man. From swinging through the city at high speed to fighting off legions of enemies by zipping between them and pulling them into the air, its gameplay looks like a scene from the films. It's remarkably well realised in terms of its world, design, and even technically, with short loading times and a rock solid framerate even on the base PlayStation 4. If Spider-Man is your thing, then this is an essential purchase.
Since the announcement of the game, Insomniac seemed to be the ideal developer for a Spider-Man game and in the end it delivered to this expectation. From beginning to end it is an absolute joy to move in high speeds between and over the skyscrapers of Manhattan as the friendly neighborhood hero, as well as getting involved in satisfying combat situations (with the obligatory Arkham inspiration). It’s a great game that’s shy from being amazing due to the forgettable and in the end derivative open world elements.
It is at its core a forgettably designed, cookie-cutter open-world game, that is elevated by its traversal, its combat and stealth, by the eventually irresistible pull of its story. It may not have legs, but while it lasts it is delightful. The Amazing Spider-Man? Not quite. But it is frequently spectacular, and given Parker's rather chequered videogame past, that feels like some achievement. [Issue#324, p.104]
This game shows tremendous love for all things Spider-Man, and the ending packs a punch he would be proud of. But Insomniac relies too much on its hero to elevate the world built around him, with the result that the game wears thin some time before its powerful conclusion.
Oh my god, this game was absolutely amzing ! and it's my favourite spiderman and superhero game insonnia, thank you andim sorry that you lost the goty but really graphics are amzing , the combat is good , not only that even 3 dlcs with their own missions and the super fluid swinging and for how much nyc is detailed and alive may be the best 2018 videogame of all time what an incredibile game not only that but the thing that makes this soooo goooood is that you cab free roam and swing around the beatiful nyc city and the bossess are amzing not only that they are even detailed my favorite boss is hammerhead and from the 3 dlcs turf wars was my favourite.
It's not innovative, gameplay or story-wise... If you've played Treyarch's Spider-Man games, you might start comparing both eras... Audiovisually speaking, it's a spectacle...
This game is very fun, the story is very solid and good, its bot perfect beacuse there some few times that the story is pretty boring, but its usually to expand it. The graphics are good especially for a 8th generation console. The gameplay is solid though bot something special and repetitive and i know that there is gagets but there so few of them until you actually upgrade the storge, and even if you do have allot, its still pretty boring also there justa few combats upgrades but its not really bad. The side missons are not so great either, sure there is like 12 but theyare all the same, go there beat some bad guys maybe find clues to beat up more bad guys and its feels repetitive. Take a look at the arkham knight side missons, every missionchase a creative way to do it,take a look at firefly, you need to find buildings on fire and stop him or deadshot that you need to do a couple of side missons to stop him, also i didnt say they are good, i just say there are creative. The collectiblesoh boy the collectibles, see they are bad, and its not them its the reward. Every collectble has an reward for collecting them, and its a suit. I mean i dont have a problem with the suit, infact it even give you a power so that's a bonus. The problemis that half of the game is just collectibles and you dont even get something good like a boss. And every different collectibles is repetitive. One is to picture theblack cat dolls, second is cacth a pigeon. And you so the same thing until you get all and then get a suit. The DLC i think is the best thing at the game, they are long like an hour and that just the part one so yea they are great. The bosses are pretty repetitive. Go there trow that punch him and on and on. Overall the thing that made the game for me to flop is the collectibles. So i'll give it a 7/10.
Oh and i forgot to mention, the MJ and miles missons are perfect especially the miles one, they are my favourite.
It was fine spider man. Gets little old in gameplay though. But i like the selection of boss characters in this spider man game. Felicia Hardy being in this game was cool
SummaryThis isn't the Spider-Man you've known before, or seen in a movie. This is an experienced Peter Parker who is more masterful in fighting major crimes in New York City. At the same time he is struggling to balance his tumultuous personal life and career while the fate of nine million New Yorkers rests upon his shoulders.
