Game makers: take note. Metroid Prime Remastered is a masterclass in how to modernize a masterpiece. Twenty years after the series made the transition to 3D, this remains a classic that has stood the test of time. The updated visuals prove that with some optimization and visual tricks, the Switch is really capable of delivering great games. In fact, this is one of prettier – if not the prettiest –Switch games to date.
Featuring gorgeous graphics, revamped controls, and a budget price, Metroid Prime Remastered gives Nintendo’s glorious FPS classic the update and new audience it deserves.

Beautifull remake of a classic game that simply can't be not liked, everyone who plays games has to have played this, period.

I started as a newcomer in the Metroid franchise. My initial impression from the gameplay front wasn't so great. Checked out the gameplay aspect from YouTube and made my decision to avoid this one. Nothing actually intrigued me about this game. However later 2023, something actually cracked me up and I asked myself what is actually even special about this game. Why Nintendo fanboys are hyping things up ? Well that time I decided to give this one a fair shot. I started playing this game and my initial impression was still the same. However, more I get through various stages I started to feel that there is something unique that definitely hits hard. And boy I was so wrong. After some rough hours the game actually gets so good that it even let me forget about my initial playthrough. The mechanics, the gameplay, the combat was such a breath of fresh air. It wasn't like any other first person shooter. So different, so much engaging. The mechanics were so advance at that time that it even holds up today. Now it made me want to play the next installment asap. Nintendo should remaster next two b4 prime 4 takes place in the Metroidverse. 10/10 highly recommended.

An excellent remaster of one of the best games of its generation, that looks and plays so well you could easily mistake it for a modern game.
Metroid Prime Remastered is an easy game to recommend to veterans and newbies alike. Atmosphere, environmental narrative, combat, puzzles, platforming. It does a little bit of everything, and it does it everything well, even by 2023 standards. Samus is the queen of the metroidvania genre and today she reminds us again why.
There was already a lot to appreciate about Metroid Prime on the GameCube, and on Nintendo Switch it works better than ever before. It feels much better to be able to play with regular joysticks, and the graphical upgrade makes the game one of the most impressive Switch launches yet.
While some elements of its design feel antiquated, stunning changes made to Metroid Prime's visual design, performance, and controls are enough to breathe new life into one of the greatest video games of all-time. Whether this is your first journey to Talon IV or a return trip, Metroid Prime Remastered is well worth your time and attention.
Metroid Prime Remastered is a faithful beat-for-beat recreation of the GameCube classic with a comprehensively polished visual makeover. It remains a solid adventure shooter, even if its straightforward approach to player progress is a little unexciting these days. I’ve certainly not hated my time with it, though I do hate its refusal to properly credit the team that worked on the original...Maybe it’s the industry’s attitude toward attribution that could use a remastering.
The music in this game is some of the best I’ve ever heard in the entire medium.

Sometimes you get so lost and unsure of what you’re supposed to do next that not even a guide can get you back on track. But the Remastered HD graphics, uniquely designed areas and enemies, and thrilling combat make the frustrating backtracking all worth it in the end; that is, if you can also overlook the outrageous price tag.

I only played the first level, but my impression is that this is a high quality game that may not be for me. It just feels a bit to cold, dark, and sterile for my liking. For now, I feel like this would hower around a 7, but could definitely change once I play this longer at some point.

Feels like a Metroid and plays like a Metroid. The navigation of the maps is quite annoying and combat of the power ranger pirates leads to constant changes if the weapon at a slow pace. Feels fun to play. However, it has the game breaking bug that blocks you from progression. And it's found near the END GAME! This Warrior artefact issue has not been fixed or addressed at all in the Switch version.
It forced me to come here and add a comment together with the score that reflects this Severity A issue.
Please fix this.

Metroid Prime Remastered? How about Metroid Prime Disappointment! This so-called 'remaster' is nothing but a lazy cash grab, offering minimal improvements while charging full price. The visuals are outdated, the controls are clunky, and the whole experience feels like a relic from a bygone era. Save your money and play the original instead!
