NieR Replicant ver. 1.22474487139… is a pitch perfect update to one of the greatest stories ever told in the medium. Combat feels fast and fluid, much like players’ tears once they finish the game. The new content feels natural, magic is more useful than ever, and the reprised music and voice over bring the world to life.
NieR Replicant ver. 1.22474487139… is the perfect opportunity to experiment NieR Automata's prequel. An epic game with plenty of improvements.

Last week I finished AC Mirage, like I do i with all AC games, first week. One minute after the end credits, the game was vanished from both mine and my PS5's memory. Then I had to wait 3 days to get my hands on Spiderman 2. Until then I decided to give a spin on this freebie with my PS Plus.
AND MAN I WAS REWARDED!
Even if I played it 10 years after its release, even if it looks OLD AF, my God, this has to be one of the best Video Games ever made!
1) The music alone is enough. Being a musician, I couldn't stop enjoying everysingle piece. It's already added on my iTunes playlist.
2) The story. It's emotional, unique, clever.
3) The combat: smooth AF, fast, forgiving enough (played it on Normal) and satisfying.
4) The Voice acting is AWESOME!
5) Kaine is s3xy!
You can find a million things to cry about if you compare it with today's blockbuster games,but then you'll be missing a very important chapter in Video Game history and an experience that will stay with you for long time.
I'm off to buy Nier:Automata and unfortunately Spiderman 2 will remain sealed until i'm done ;-)

NieR Replicant is a game I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. Its story is fantastically dark, incredibly unique and told in such a fascinating way, while its mix of combat and exploration has just the right hints of Zelda that make it a hell of a lot of fun to play through. It has some repetition issues and shows its true age in some areas, but it’s a game I’d recommend to the first-time NieR players like myself as well as the Automata die-hards. I guess it’s time for me to finish that game after all.
Despite some dated shortcomings, this “version upgrade” is more than the sum of its parts. Novel design choices like camera and genre shifts are as impressive today as they were more than 10 years ago. Main characters are dynamic with their own interesting backstories, and the plot is as deliciously devastating as you’d expect. Nier Replicant might not convert players that were turned off by the original or Automata, but there are more than enough quality-of-life updates and story-centric nuances to keep longtime fans and new initiates coming back for subsequent playthroughs.
Nier Replicant 1.22474487139… gives the cult game a second chance. Technical improvements make the experience much better than the original without changing its essence, and new content nurtures Yoko Taro universe, although it didn't age well.
While not perfect, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… manages to address the biggest flaw from the original game, which is its gameplay. After being fine-tuned and modeled after NieR: Automata’s combat, NieR Replicant feels absolutely fantastic to play. Fans of the original will also appreciate the new perspective that the teenage protagonist brings to the table. This game is the perfect entry point for newcomers and the definitive way for veterans to relive a truly iconic game.
Taro’s approach is of a restless rarity; he swaps genres as though trying to scratch an itch.

I think this game would deserve a 7'5-8 but I'm giving it a 7 because players tend to overrate this game. It took me 19 hours doing only a few quests. I might watch the extra scenes on youtube as I don't feel to play this game over and over, only to see a few new things. I continued for one hour after finishing the first game and it's not worthy to me (plus, what's with the lenght of Kaine story? Videogames are not books. It's just not the moment nor the place to do that). I also feel the influence of Evangelion on monsters, blood and drama. Not a must have game and not a game for everyone but it's a good choice if you like rpg with plenty of action. I also like to point out the good soundtrack of this game.

Lacking a PS5 patch / version. Graphics, combat is very outdated.
World is empty. Platinum experience is not even fun. A lot of grind and repetitive tasks. Would be better to release it 10 years ago.

A nivel gameplay el juego ofrece buenas opciones pero con rivales mediocres, incluso jefes. A nivel narrativo es muy original pero con sus errores importantes, sólo entenderás que es muy buena historia viendo el resumen en YouTube. Su diseño de nivel es pobre y sus misiones secundarias pésimas. Aún así lo recomiendo, es algo diferente.
