By all means many may enjoy the experience to be had in 199X, however don’t expect a lengthy nor particularly engaging gameplay experience. You’re there to push the story along with your directional keys and space bar and little else.

But it has great soundtrack and engaging plot, the main character is far more interesting than main characters from most games (even those that are story-driven). If you've liked "To the Moon", you might enjoy "199x" - it's not as emotional, but I think that the second part of the game can make you compassionate towards the game's protagonist.

The one thing that authors deserve big praise for - even if you didn't enjoy the game as much as I did - is the price. 2 euro/dollars for a 2h long experience is a good price. I hope we'll see a new story like this somewhere in a future.
