A Pixel Story puts together a great, complete package that has a ton of ingenuity and fun to offer.
If you are in search of a good platform puzzle game, A Pixel Story is the game for you.
If you’re looking for a funny, engaging, refreshing game that isn’t afraid to challenge you and reward you for rising to those challenges then this is absolutely the game for you.
A Pixel Story has an interesting concept which is not implemented in the best possible way. Although it still is a good platform game, it could maintain better balance between difficulty and pace.
A fascinating journey through the visual history of 2D platformers, although the gameplay doesn’t always match the quality of the many classics it relies on for influence.
Through it can be frustrating and seem downright broken at times, there's still much to enjoy in A Pixel Story. It genuinely has all the making of a great puzzle platformer, but it's sadly kept from its full potential by poorly-executed physics.
At first it looks very promising with the concept of the continuous evolution of the technology creating anticipation, but in the end what we get is a problematic platformer plagued with lack of imagination and a disappointing final world.
