Nov 9, 2017Featuring a stunning low-poly art style, a wonderfully well-integrated soundtrack, an ingeniously simple control scheme, an interesting transformation mechanic, and impressively designed temples, AER has a lot going for it. It’s unfortunate that the experience is as short as it is and there is no way to keep track of what’s been seen. A few more environmental puzzles and a simple journal would fix my only complaints about this exploration-heavy title.

Nov 5, 2017A beautiful game with great flying, only held back by confusing interiors and a short duration.

Oct 26, 2017AER memories of Old is a very good little poetic game which will hook you up with it's amazing graphical style and the ability to play as an eagle to improve the freedom feel of it all. Only the shortness of the adventure may stop you from buying this at full blown price.

Oct 23, 2017Aer Memories of Old is a beautiful game. A place to come back from time to time to enjoy a flight. Forgotten Key has created a complex tiny world explained well and full of little secrets but, at the end, it feels small and we want more and more.

Oct 24, 2017I very much enjoyed my time with AER Memories of Old. It’s not perfect; it’s a little on the short side, its puzzles are a bit lacklustre, and it has an overt religious message — although if anything, that it adds to the world that AER creates. It’s beautifully designed, and if you stop often enough to take in your surroundings, you’ll find a very strong, moving narrative. If nothing else, though, it’s just so much fun to fly around.

Oct 25, 2017It's missing a gripping story.

Oct 23, 2017AER is trying so hard to look like those beloved games from which it is being inspired, but fails to do so. The game is filled with bugs and does not tell us an interesting story all along. Even though some aerial moments are quite a delight, the total lack of wind is incomprehensible, as is the rest of the gameplay. Why would you want to play this? We are still looking for an answer.
