PC GamerMakes me wish more games featured adult-themed language and situations, because in this case, they actually add to the gritty feel and setting we've been delivered. [Dec 2003, p.107]
-
The graphics are beautiful and along with the sound effects and musical score really immerse you in the game.
-
What with graphics that are no longer state-of-the-art, no multiplayer component, a less-than-totally compelling story, and combat that is sometimes frustrating, there is a lot missing here.
-
Computer Games MagazineThe action is still highly distinctive fun, though, and for those in search of a challenge, Aquanox 2 definitely comes through. [Jan 2004, p.85]
-
A beautiful game. Much like its predecessor, AquaNox 2 sets a new high water mark (heh, heh) in graphics. High end PC gamers are in for a real treat. It doesn't hurt that the game plays well too. Yet the single player campaign just isn't all that long.
-
Unless you were a diehard fan of the original, I'd say give this one a pass.
-
Computer Gaming WorldA lobotomized first-person shooter. Invisible walls and glass ceilings abound throughout the briny deep, ensnaring players in a boring series of follow-the-leader and circle-strafing style stages. [Dec 2003, p.144]
