It is blatantly obvious this game is an unfinished product and looks with than a cricket game title from 1997. Game play, fielding, batting, ball physics, everything is not up to the standard it was billed and advertised to be. I have no idea how this could be released as a finished product. There's absolutely no positives to take from Ashes Cricket 2013. The cricketing community are desperate for a modern and realistic game, and this game has absolutely nothing to offer. 505 apologized to the game's users, saying that the developers were (despite their experience with cricket video games) unable to build a suitable product on the engine they provided, and that "[the game] couldn't meet the quality benchmarks of either us, our licensors or our customers." The company also indicated that its current priority was to "protect the Ashes name and that of the ECB and Cricket Australia, and do what we can to recompense the cricket community." 505 have offered refunds to all who purchased Ashes Cricket 2013, and also cancelled plans to release console versions of the game.[161][162]… Expand

I went with the hope that Codemasters would have tweaked this game in all aspects given the time delay from June. To my dismay, they didn't. What you see is a game that would put Stick Cricket on FB to shame. The game looks much worse than EA's Cricket 97. The graphics, gameplay and sound etc etc are worse. Heck, I could develop a much better game than this (if I were a software programmer Worst of all, no tutorial mode, wtf To all cricket fans, stay away from this game. You guys are well placed if you play Ashes '09 and '10. 8 bucks down the drain … Expand

I have not played this game, but the videos i have seen of this game on youtube is absolutely atrocious. And i am not talking about "edited"I have not played this game, but the videos i have seen of this game on youtube is absolutely atrocious. And i am not talking about "edited" videos that shows the worst parts of the game only. but complete, unaltered and unedited videos are what i am referring to. The bugs are so bad and repetitive that they are hilarious (and then you feel sad at the state of the game). Controls that are inspired by cricket games of the late 90s and early 2000s (no foot selection option) and graphics and animations that makes the game look like a game from the 90s but better resolution. Glitches include, 8 fielders looking for a ball together which is lying in front of them and batsmen taking 30 runs in one ball this way, Wrong fielders fielding the ball, stadium floodlights not turning up, catchers getting credit for the wicket. A horrible game over all.… Expand
