While the new version makes the game more accessible, offers more depth on the domain's management and a small but not marginal graphic facelift (notably sunlight management). It is unfortunately counterbalanced by the main character models being sometimes less polished, a catastrophic display of nights and a rather embarrassing bridle of the experience. This version is recommended for those who could not play the original game. However, the PC version is highly recommended, at least for the 60 FPS availability.

If you are a fan of Assassin's Creed series but haven't played AC3 which was released in 2012, it's the perfect time to try the remastered version.

Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered offers some good upgrades, with smoother visuals and some UI fixes. If the overall experience feels dated at time, it still is a solid experience.

Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered does a good job bringing an older game into the modern era, all things considered, but it can be hard to go back to.

With Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, Ubisoft improved the graphics of the games but did very little to improve everything else.

The Assassin's Creed 3 Remaster improved the graphics and very little else. There is a reason this game is one of the least popular in the series history and without anything done to address its previous faults, its age makes it even more unpalatable.

I get instantly detected through trees, or while in bushes... Also parry doesn't work, for example when you are attacking someone else and you get attacked it doesn't work. Or when you press anything else at the same time. I many times pressed e at exact time enemy attacks and nothing happened. Also there is no crouching. Combat is very buggy and unresponsive, pressing buttons, but it doesn't do anything...

In summary graphics is great, runs well on old pc and story is fun. But controls could use improvement. And they are simplified. I enjoyed various moves in ac 1, in this game it feels there is less variety, there could be difficulty option to set it. But there are sometimes great attack moves, when you attack multiple guys at the same time, but you can't control it.

Game has 60fps lock, while the original wasn't capped. Shame on you Ubisoft.

Not only was III always the worst AC game in my opinion, but this almost entirely graphical remaster somehow manages to make everything look worse than the original. Textures are worse, the game is locked to 60 fps which the original was not, faces now look absolutely atrocious (the scared kid in the opera house at the beginning was always a bit creepy looking, but now he's nightmare fuel) and facial textures are far, far worse than before - and lip syncing is off in places where it didn't use to be. It's just amazing to me how a supposed "remaster" - and one for which they charge as a new game - can manage to take a step back in every area, seven years after the original came out. Expand
