While I found myself struggling to wrap my head around the gameplay after the first hour or two, Atlas Reactor has become something that I’ve had a hard time drawing myself away from over the past few days.
Atlas Reactor is a game that I appreciate for its diverse cast and refreshingly short match times.

My new favorite game. I rarely write reviews but feel like I needed to quell the F2P complaints. First off, this game is NOT pay to win by any definition. You have a free character rotation that allows you to try characters of each type, support, tank, or firepower. You CANNOT make characters any stronger by paying more. Mods unlock with character levels, but even then, the stock mods are just fine. People saying this game is pay to win have no idea what that means, clearly. The loot boxes can only be opened every 36 hours, but to my understanding, if you decide to purchase the full version of the game you can open them all at once.
My experience was: downloaded the game, played for a few hours, said "yep, this game is awesome, I want to buy it".
I think this payment model will be positive for Trion in the form of revenue, but there will be a few ignorant/misguided reviews that result from it.
Think of it as the Overwatch model with a free to try option. It's NOT a demo. What demo allows you to play endless PVP with a type of character from every class?
Yes, ranked is not available yet. Overwatch did not have ranked for several weeks as well. It doesn't make sense to have ranked available in the first couple weeks as people are becoming familiar with the game and the devs are maintaining the full release traffic.
There is a mandatory tutorial now, which I think is needed. Pay attention and don't just skip through or you'll be here writing a negative review because you don't understand the basics. Of course you won't like it. I saw one review that said "this is a children's game" then went on to say "I don't understand how x y and z works". Huh? You can't grasp what you call a children's game? That being said, there are some deeper mechanics that are not clear, and really aren't necessary for those just starting out (vision is 6 squares away, you can see enemies in the same camo squares if you are close enough, etc), but it would be helpful if there was an advanced mechanics tutorial or something. This info may be available and I may just be missing it, but Trion should make it clearer somehow (load screen tips?).

MMORPG PLAYER REVIEW
I have played very few online strategy games, even less turn-base. MMORPG's have been my gaming status for almost a decade where I can customize, collect and explore different content at my own leisure or join in on endgame content.
I did not think Atlas Reactor would be able to keep my attention but it has and has also exceeded all my gaming expectations offering me the same things I enjoy in MMOPG's with skin/vfx/banner/emblem/taunt collections, ranked game play as well as casual, seasons which offer Lore and Freelancers themselves whose art work and personalities find me attached to some as quickly as they are released while wanting to KOS others as soon as I see them in the arena.
The perfect blend of attachments every avid gamer appreciates.
For someone who has raided hardcore in four MMORPG's and focused PvP but is in no denial she is getting older, not as quick as she use to be this game is perfect for me. That's not to say its easier-20 seconds to make decisions is no joke-that's just to say I get to continue to make wicked decisions like I have always done in many realms/worlds before and you get to witness it or be the brunt of it.
This game is also perfect for alt-tab/double screen players at work, in the office or tending the kids at home. It becomes just as much fun seeing what you can achieve between moves!
Gaming is a lifestyle and Atlas Reactor lets me live mine with ease as a gaming writer, reviewer, event creator and hyper which is as important as gaming itself in 2016 for many.
The Developers are quick to remedy, apply or discuss updates chatting frequently with players by social media platforms, streaming themselves via personal live streams plus official channels which is reassuring and fun!
My main concern if I have any is wondering whether Trion Worlds will develop an official Statistics database for every account that could also be included in Spectator mode UI that needs updating before ranked arrives in the coming weeks to not only enhance the e-sport side of this game that has so much potential to become internationally acclaimed but also to support live stream entertainment.

Watching your opponent fall right into your trap or hitting him with pinpoint accuracy are just some of the priceless moments Atlas Reactor provides. It is a truly one of kind game that mixes several genres into something weird and brilliant.
Atlas Reactor is a fun game for people who love blasting the hell out of their friends. The large variety of Freelancers, both in appearance and play style, present the opportunity to try out several different strategies and help keep things interesting.
Atlas Reactor is an impressive turn-based tactical game that has ground work built on fast action and a steep learning curve.
Atlas Reactor has tons of strategic depth compressed into hyper-kinetic ten-minute chunks.
Atlas Reactor has enough going for it that it is definitely worth trying out if you are in the mood for a tactical turn-based game. As someone who isn’t huge fan of turn-based games, I can’t say Atlas Reactor does anything to convince me that I should play it every day. While there is so much to do in Atlas Reactor, including Ranked PvP, daily contracts and even a poor story mode (essentially more contracts), I simply don’t find the game enjoyable enough to keep going back to. That being said, the game is F2P (to a certain extent) and what you play during that time will be enough to convince you whether or not you’ll want to spend money on it.
A callback to the turn based strategies of old slapped with a modern aesthetic, colorful and unique characters and, most important of all, multiplayer PvP that doesn't take forever with the ingenious addition of simultaneous turns.
If you've never played/liked turn based strategies don't disregard this game, its more fun than it looks. If you're a lover of turn based strategies you're gonna love love love this game since you can wreck other people's faces instead of a silly computer AI

Pretty decent game, but a few quirks keep it from being great. Respawn time is too long, self-heals are way too good on some characters and non-existent on others, and of course pvp is useless as one bad player will cost three others the entire match (but that's all online group-based pvp so I stick to single player/co-op).

Gameplay is pretty good, but a quick glance on the negative steam reviews point out the game's biggest flaws.
The fact that they made it "free to play" but not really.
The free to play experience is terribly limited, this game would have been better received if they had charged the 30$ upfront to everyone instead of giving you the "game" for "free" and making 100$ worth of "DLC" available, unless you plan to pay the 30 dollars, stay away from this game.

More trion worlds filth! Everything about this game is a bad idea that is poorly executed! I really dont see how ANYONE can give this a positive review much less so many of them.. oh wait.. how many employees does trion worlds have? hmmm.. then add in a few people they gave free stuff to for positive reviews and i think we have our explanation.
From the concept to the sound the entire game reeks of failure. Its obvious they once again tried to STEAL (since trion worlds isnt capable OF creating) other games mechanics, but all they did was mangle them and try to turn them into another cash cow for half-wits.
