With only seven static (non-procedural) levels that are quite constrained at times, and only five types of creatures at your disposal, this game is over in only 10 hours, with no replayability. Even finishing it can be a chore, as the repetition turns into grind.

The balancing and game design leave much to be desired. With the massive importance placed on stealth, it is immersion

The balancing and game design leave much to be desired. With the massive importance placed on stealth, it is immersion shattering that enemies cannot use their comms to talk during combat, or detect their own gunshots. Add in a lack of tactical shooting, 3D positioning, or the myriad of other aspects that have become the hallmark of XCOM-type of games, you are just left with the realization that this is just a monster movie simulator. It does have a few good ideas, and a few funny moments, but not enough of either or the necessary supporting gameplay to justify the time to see them.

Favorite Thing: The gameplay's pretty fun. Not exactly original, but fun!
Least Favorite Thing: Finding out your cover actually doesn't provide any can be quite frustrating.

Well worth buying! Excellent fun story and superb gameplay! Short and sweet game. Music is okay, 3D models are okay. Effects are good. Games Unity engine use is slow on 7 yrs old computers, but bearable. What makes this game excellent is the amazing voice acting and character design, plus the superb Paradroid(C64)-style game level structure. Despite its small shortcomings this wasWell worth buying! It is by no means a masterpiece, but Attack of the Earthlings provides a fun and a solid strategy experience for those who aren't looking for something extremely deep. The levels have a good layout, and there's a wide variety of smart and dumb enemies to keep you invested. Your offensive abilities, from setting up traps to body disposal, are fun, and the humor keeps things lively. It is a short experience that doesn't have much replayability due to the lack of variable difficulty, but you'll still enjoy your time with Attack of the Earthlings.

While pacing and the talent tree could use some improvement, Attack of the Earthlings is otherwise an enjoyable and entertaining release. This refreshing take on the traditional monster-in-space story melds lightheartedness with simple-but-fulfilling strategy.

A funny game, but more puzzle than tactical and too short and simple for its own good.
