Offers a lot of new vehicles, weapons, and maps to give you even more of what you've been playing this game for all this time. It is a solid and enjoyable addition to the BF series that just makes that game even more addictive and gives you some new ways to play and new toys to play with.
While single-player practice against AI teams feels drab and slow-paced, a full-blown multiplayer melee with more than 20 people per team is flat-out amazing. [Dec 2003, p.136]

Its additions are extremely enjoyable to play around with and, in some cases, really change the gameplay of the original in new and intriguing ways.
A great addition to the original game. With 16 new maps, seven new weapons including anti-missiles, gadgets like the jet pack and new vehicles like the Sherman tank, to say that this expansion pack cuts the mustard would be an understatement.
What's going to annoy people most is that the purists will want things like the mobile spawn point of the C-47, but won't be able to have them without the jet fighters and flyable missiles. And ultimately, that might mean these Secret Weapons remain completely unknown to most. [PC Gamer UK]
An expansion pack done right; it breathes some new life into the game with various extras and will have players heading back to the servers. It isn't flawless, but it's definitely a lot of fun and far better than "Road to Rome."

"Secret Weapons of WWII" is the DLC for the original Battlefield that I never bought after a little disappointment in "Road to Rome". But I spent tens of hours playing it with my friends in computer clubs :)
"Secret Weapons" let the developers to explore some new type of gameplay with well known game. Unique weapons and well designed maps was a very good and not serious addition to the game.
Type of DLC that you would never regret buying.

Another decent DLC for Battlefield 1942. In my opinion, this beats The Road to Rome in terms of content. Bigger variety of weapons, vehicles and cool gimmicks on the new maps like the addition of a jetpack class that can be found on Essen, jet planes or the ability to launch rockets on certain maps.
