As a complete package Battlefield 3 absolutely delivers and if you don't have some angry agenda against Origin it's a must-play. The PC version in particular ushers in a new era of graphical magnificence and the disparity between the consoles begs Sony and Microsoft to up the ante. Shooters don't come much better than this and it's a great way to kick off this year's holiday game rush.

Battlefield 3 offers one of the best multiplayer modes out there. The Frostbite 2 engine is capable of amazing things in order to show the most realistic war we've seen to date. Its only flaws are an extremely short campaign and a co-op mode that could have been much better.

Maybe Battlefield 3's off-line side is a little bit irregular, but its multiplayer options and amazing graphics justify the necessary upgrade of our computers. Those players looking for a game full of innovation will be disenchanted; however if you're looking for an amazing competitive on-line experience, this is it.

Battlefield 3 is amazing. The single player campaign is definitely the weakest link, even though it's more than just decent. The co-op missions are fun, but online multiplayer is the main reason you should get Battlefield 3. Here, the game doesn't disappoint in any way and stands as the strongest entry of the series so far. This is the best multiplayer experience I've had this year.

An extremely beautiful looking game that takes advantage of the hardware in every way possible, resulting in an experience that's so huge and fulfilling that it will keep you satisfied for years to come, especially with all the DLC map packs int he pipelines.

What kind of game is Battlefield 3? Well made, extremely impressive, pretty and rich in content. But still it has some flaws and suprising peculiarities.

I enjoyed my time with Battlefield 3's multiplayer, and I wish my thoughts about the game could end there. Unfortunately it also tried to force a totally unnecessary single-player game on me, and the browser interface looks like it came straight out of the 90s.

The best graphics to date on a fps. The only thing I didn't like is the need to run the Origin client. But that, I guess is a tool they using trying to prevent piracy. You know, if you like PC video games, and wanna keep ALIVE the PC gaming community, the ONLY way to support the developers is actually BUYING the video games they make.
Nothing else to say, the game deserves a 10, no less than 9.5.

The game follows closely with the rest of the BF series, with large expanded maps, vehicular warfare, and a reward system for squad based tactics. Every class is useful with each of their jobs and the game tries to promote a mix of classes to be a more successful squad when teamwork is being used, even in their "condensed" form. (example: assault and medic class combined into one). On the other hand, not having a Commander diminishes it's value because of certain tactics is now left out of the equation. No more are the artillery strikes, or the map scans, or even supply drops. Much of that is left with the squads and squad commanders, on a much smaller scale. That also leaves out another objective, by trying to go behind enemy lines and take the important commander buildings out. dice took that objective out and turned it into another game mode called rush. Graphicwise, it is one of the more intense sceneries to date. Tracer fire everywhere, with smoke pluming in the background, destructible environments all adds to the feel of a real life battlefield. Destructible environments alone adds to the tactical flare of the game. Can't go around a wall? C4 it and make your own door. Enemy camping in the building and you not having line of sight to the enemy? Tank with a couple of AP shells in that building will bring the building into rubble. I know there are alot of gripes about Origin, but to be honest, I see no major flaws in the system. The game loads lightning quick compared to BF2 or 2142. It will have a learning curve to use, since it is somewhat a new way to interface with the game. We could also say the same about Steam when it first was released. All in all, I find BF3 to be a refreshing departure to the CoD world of Ramboesque style, one man army gameplay, to a large scale full on 64 player war, where squad based team play reigns king. Years after its release, Battlefield 3 is still a very impressive shooter, both visually and gameplay-wise.

The Gameplay is similar to any other 1st person military shooter though, but only difference is that the game has some nice 'QTE' moments during gameplay action. There are a variety of gameplay as well, like firing cannons from a tank, to playing as a foot soldier, and to doing special operation missions. The Game is probably more about the Multiplay and its really good. But the Singleplayer mode is just as interesting and gives a good burn time. Overall, an excellent game with amazing graphics and despite the repeated formula of other 1st person military shooters, this game was interesting enough to keep me going and completing it. Expand

What I can't accept is the miserable saving point design: if you died at certain part, you simply have to run through all those COOL FIRST IMPRESSION cut scenes again, and again, and again. Drives people crazy especially in HARD difficulty. Anyway, SP, is an Epic fail, and ruin my day.

What truly saved this game is MP, of course, not surprised. After five years of waiting this is how it should be done, and for that it got a 7. But for the SP part, which only count 3 in the total score, BF3 simply doesn't know what is the right way to make a great SP.
