For the first time in a long time, a game has lived up (and in my opinion surpassed) the hyped that’s been created around it. Frankly, I’ll be surprised if BIOMUTANT is not game of the year.

I enjoyed my time with BIOMUTANT and I can’t wait to replay the game and see how it will play out if I make just a few minor changes to some of the decisions I made throughout the game.

Biomutant definitely has its charms: its post-apocalyptic open world is filled with lush environments and the combat encounters are entertaining, making for a fun game experience, albeit one that is sometimes a bit repetitive.

Biomutant appeals until credits roll largely thanks to its world and well-optimized visual performance on PC. There’s definitely too much fluff here, but there are more exciting surprises to unearth as the game goes on, including intriguing mounts and some esoteric devices.

Biomutant is a game with a true great potential but it just misses the mark on so many aspects. I hope to see Experiment 101 try to develop another game and see this potential through, in hopes that I won’t be disappointed again.

Biomutant’s positives ever so slightly outweigh its faults and with more time (and patches), it could grow into a much more entertaining game. Its unique world, extensive customisation and pool of interesting moves and tricks in battle make this game fun to play but for now, a colourful but empty world, a wealth of glitches, and dull objectives make it a tough sell.

Biomutant is what happens when someone makes an Ubisoft game, but without Ubisoft’s resources, experience, talent, or even willingness to take risks. With the exception of the art design, everything about Biomutant feels safe and familiar, but without the confidence or polish needed to make it effective. Safe, familiar, and hopelessly lost in the detritus-littered wasteland between design document and actual game.

The narrator's voice is ok. Feels like you are in fairytale about post apocalyptic furry mutants. Really enjoyable openworld. I think that this game is just underrated. Expand

An absolutely beautiful interesting world to explore. There is so much to do around every corner. It's like a post-apocalyptic breath of the wild but much more to do. One of the best combat systems in gaming that feels like nothing I've ever played. And I'm a big hardcore Souls type gamer. The world is beautiful and the characters are very interesting. The weapons are some of the best in gaming. The magic system is one of the best magic systems in gaming, which is always what I look for, a great magic system and man does this nail it. The Monster hunting in here is better than Monster Hunter and Witcher 3 and Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time. The story is good enough. But a game that has this good of a combat system and exploration you really don't need a story hens breath of the wild again. This game does so much right, I really don't have any knit picks. Do not do yourself a disservice and pay attention to all of the negative reviews. Give it a try for yourself. It's probably the most original game I've played in the past few years. The gameplay Loop is one of the most addictive I have ever had the pleasure to be addicted to. I have to pry myself away from this game and I can't wait to get back to it. Expand

The game starts off quite slow & janky in its presentation which explains why so many impatient players were scared off / disappointed but once you get past the 1-2h tutorial, the game opens up to you and becomes a blast.

The world is beautiful, the Dr.Seuss kind of lore and narration is fun and entertaining & the story/quests are fun & diverse enough to be enjoyable for extended play. The crafting system is innovative and fun to use, even if the UI could do with being clearer.

My only gripe as it stands is the combat which while amazing on the paper & to watch needs rebalancing overall. The difficulty, even on the hardest, is way too easy & melee combat almost pointless compared to guns, since circling around enemies and shooting infinite ammo is a 100% risk free method with just about anything in this game.

Overall an enjoyable experience, which has clearly had soul, blood and tears poured into it and deserves to be played beyond the tutorial. Whilst Biomutant cannot compete with AAA multi-million budget open worlds, it certainly hasn't deserved the backlash and toxicity it has received in the early hours of its release.

Lol, this game costs $48 in my country, even though most AAA games cost $34 max. Considering its problems, it's one of the worst buys
