Borderlands 3 has surpassed the bar that its predecessor had set. The story is grand in scale, the humor is on-point and updated to 2019, weapons are diverse and the new Vault Hunters are unique in every way. Every BL-fan must pick this game up.

Borderlands 3 is the best game Gearbox has ever made. The weapons are interesting and goofy, the battles are intense and tricky, and the multiple open-worlds are beautiful and full of challenging missions. For Chinese gamers, it might be the most immersive 3A game in recent years because of the wonderful Chinese voice acting.

Maybe it’s not the most innovative game out there, but Borderlands 3 is a total must have for loot shooter fans.

Borderlands 3 isn’t a franchise altering game, but it does manage to combine great gunplay, an expansive world, and stellar co-op into a great overall package.

Those new to Borderlands will find some aspects confusing at first – Borderlands 3 is minimal when it comes to tutorials – but if they persist, they will end up luxuriating in the joyous, tongue-in-cheek, comic book-influenced fun it provides. Sure, it fails to turn the franchise into something new and futuristic in gameplay terms. But why would it, when its original conception was already immaculate?

Borderlands 3 is more Borderlands, and all the loot that entails. This proper sequel improves upon the formula with more guns, but more importantly, a stretch of unique planets to kill enemies on. The new planets offer more visual variety and a great evolution of enemy encounters. The tuning is clearly meant for more than one player, making a punitive experience at times for the solo Vault Hunter. Despite the formula growing a bit stale, Gearbox has expanded upon it in the right way, resulting in a great Borderlands experience.

Gearbox is at their best when they’re engineering the act of shooting something. If their game would just shut up and let the gleeful gunplay speak for itself, Borderlands would go a lot further. Instead, the gunplay is clogged up with meaningless loot, smugly unfunny jokes, and lots of using the same ol’ gun while waiting for the parsimonious skill point drip to finally drop. Where’s the glee in all that?

Borderlands 3 is phenomenal and all I could’ve wanted out of a new entry in the series. All your favorite characters return and the writingBorderlands 3 is phenomenal and all I could’ve wanted out of a new entry in the series. All your favorite characters return and the writing and humor is on par for what one could expect from the series. In game music is purely amazing with heavy hitting synth wave style tracks and electronic music alongside epic tracks to go with huge firefights and battles. The new Vault Hunters are fantastic, I’ve grown very attached to Zane and love how he converses with different characters. The amount of guns on show is fantastic and varied, no doubt even at 1000 hours of play will any one player see every gun on offer. Weapons also sound punchy and visceral taking a cue from Borderlands 1 weapons instead of the weak sounding Borderlands 2 guns. Character customization is expanded with all new heads and skins as well as getting to choose your own colors for everything. Weapons are now customizable with different skins and little trinkets you can equip to them for flair, there are no micro transactions, it is all purchased with one of the in game currencies called “Eridium”. I’ve been playing through the game on a base Xbox one and have encountered practically zero issues, only one so far being that certain vehicles don’t have an engine sound to them unless they’re on their respective planets where they were obtained. Borderlands 3 is slowly making its way to the top spot as my favorite game of all time, even beating out Metal Gear Solid 3. If you’re a huge fan of the series then this is a definite buy, and if you’re wanting to get into the series this is definitely a great starting point. Expand

I love Borderlands and I always will, but i rushed trough the campaign without doing any side quests because of how horrible this pc version runs. Im running a 1080ti and an 6700k OCed and I am seeing dips into the 40is with 40% gpu usage on 1080p Meanwhile I am playing Gears 5 on 4k on High to Ultra with solid 60 fps.
The game has serious stutter problems while ads and i actually found out that it even gets worse if you are hosting a lobby. I tried this a couple times with my friend in LAN MODE and every single time, the one hosting was having a lot more stutter and less frames in general. I dont even think about buying any campaign dlc, until every single thing i mentioned is fixed.

I wanted just about the same "Borderlands" it was before THIS.
It's a typical, not unique looter shooter with hundreds of spits at the face of any fan of this once great franchise.
Characters. Terrible new ones and unchanged old ones. Protagonist plays NO PART IN THE STORY, according to cutscenes.
Story. Ever thought about Handsome Jack? Yeah, we screwed him up and made 2 modern kids. Enjoy our "efforts".
Graphics. Yeah, it's improved, but not really. Yet, minimal requirements get you nowhere, but 30 fps tops.
Gameplay. Gearbox actually bothered to work on it. Pleasant UI, sliding, climbing, slam (hello, pre-sequel). Bosses are fun to fight against.
Sound. It's great too. Bosses have their own unique soundtracks as well as we still get that Pandora-like ambience. Weapons make noises too, and not bad.
Events. Honestly, I expected more. Not only the developer follows "the cult of season pass (DLC)", they actually try to make you GRIND. On the same map. With same objectives.
Exclusivity. This is the biggest failure of Gearbox, along with EGS. You guys are trying to separate the world of gamers. You openly lie to us. Just because you don't like the cut taken by the shop, CUSTOMERS have to suffer.

Overall: the disgusting product of lies and greed from Randy Pitchford, doing his best following EGS to separate players, to make people upset. More than that, a fishy game of questionable quality, created without actually listening to the fan base.
This is a complete zero. This is not Borderlands I loved. It's not alive anymore.
