  1. It offers a very nice graphical engine, great voices and sound effects, and an incredibly addictive and intense story line.
  2. Your teammates, who are supposed to be an asset, are more of a nuisance then support. They won’t take defensive positions well and are easily picked off.
  3. If it weren't for random crashes and long start ups, the game would have been much more enjoyable.
  4. Solid graphics and music, decent level design and clever use of vehicles. The Achilles' heel is clearly the squad mate artificial intelligence, which virtually ruins the whole play experience.

A ham-fisted and passionless retreat of "Halo." [Aug 2004, p.70]
  6. The saddest part about Breed is not that it’s a horrible game; it’s that deep inside there’s a good game. All of the ideas were right, but the execution failed on nearly all aspects.
  7. Nearly everything was done half-assed and it shows; Sound cuts out; Graphics are crap for lack of a better word; More bugs than a spider web; Can’t even use the disc as a coaster since I pissed on it.

I agree, this game did fail, but it's potential was limitless. Something about the unriveled 100-square-mile maps, destructive I agree, this game did fail, but it's potential was limitless. Something about the unriveled 100-square-mile maps, destructive environments and ability to fly into space keeps bringing me back to this disastrous, yet would-be revolutionary thing of a game. I even went as far as purchasing a second copy to keep for collection. Expand

Was fun at first but then you get easily overrun, the game is full of bugs, glitches, and spelling mistakes in the subtitles. And if you Was fun at first but then you get easily overrun, the game is full of bugs, glitches, and spelling mistakes in the subtitles. And if you manage not to restart your computer due to the long wait while it "Verifies you CD" and the unpassable introduction then you will be disappointed by the end of this game. Expand
