Cat Quest II is just as good as the original. The core mechanics remain appealing, while the addition of magic rods and projectile attacks are enough to change things up for those who were afraid of another melee-fest. The elimination of some required grinding makes the game feel more streamlined for those who were anxious to see where the main storyline goes, but the inclusion of local co-op increases the game's fun factor tenfold. This is another job well done and another quality title to add to one's gaming library.

Coop-mode feels good to Cat Quest II and its beautiful message about friendship. Its sense of humor, cuteness and simple system are pawsome as always.

Cat Quest II feels like the perfect game for a parent and child to play together. This is likely a growing market, so I applaud the publisher for being on top of this. The game hides enough potentially mature jokes to keep adults chuckling along, while the kiddo may fall in love with the adorable atmosphere. Although never too difficult, Cat Quest II seems to hit the sweet spot of demanding one's attention while never being too frustrating. I think anyone could actually enjoy this game, if one doesn't mind a chill, cozy excursion into the land of meows and ruffs.

Cat Quest II succeeds in taking the concept of the original further, and making it a more compelling experience. The improved story, co-op play, and extra variety, essentially make it the bigger, better, more interesting version of the original - almost like a GOTY, or complete edition. Unfortunately, however, it fails to completely remedy the repetitive nature of some of the content, and in taking the tedium out of the level grinding. Overall, a commendable second tale in the world of Cat Quest, and one which is thoroughly recommended.

While I enjoyed my time with Cat Quest 2, a bit more depth all around would have been "purr-furred." Perhaps the developer's hints of updates to come will remedy this oversight sufficiently.

Cat Quest II is a fun romp, but the thrills on offer are a bit shallow.

    Cat Quest II
    Pretty Pawsome
Cat Quest 2 is obviously the sequal to Cat Quest, You can play solo or coop, This is the biggest difference between the first game and this…. Cat Quest 2 is just more cat quest.. however here you control two characters as you go on a journey to collect the broken shards of the kingsblade to unite the world of cats and dogs. Do you need to play the first to understand whats going on or enjoy the game? Yes and no…
I didn’t play the first game so I wasn’t quite sure why we are doing what were doing here… thankfully at the end of the game you get an explination… so it will definitely helpt to have played the first, but at the same time.. the games are so similar that you might enjoy it more if you just hop in now…
    I loved Cat Quest II…
This is an 8 hour long open world rpg where youll be obviously completing quests… from story to side, slaying enemies in the open worlds, exploring dungeons for chests for new weapons and armour…
Its addicting, I never found myself having to grind to complete story quests because the dungeons do such a great job of enticing you to explore that youll earn plenty of xp from them…
I do have a love hate relationship with the loot here…
I love that there aren’t that many weapons in the game, theres just right amount, and when you find duplicates it automatically levels that weapon or armour up… I do wish however that there was a larger variety in weapon types.. you get a staff or a sword/axe.. that’s all and the swords don’t really do much different and neither do the armour you find…
I very early on built up my party as 2 different class types and stuck with that through the entirety of the game…
This keeps the game from being as exciting or fresh feeling as it possibly could be.. don’t get me wrong.. despite the tedium Cat Quest 2 doesn’t feel as such until maybe the final hr or two…
When you start feeling full you only have a couple bites left..
But I feel like Id be wanting dessert if there was just a bit more variety in the gear…
I want a struggle and balance, not an obvious choice… I want to create my own classes with different stats and specials…
There is the potential here for that.. especially with the magical powers and elemental weakneses and resistances in the game…
Balancing your magic with your weapon and gear, giving a certain attack a buff or ensuring you have a balance of elements incase you run into a certain enemy type.. though you are thankfully able to swap gear mid fight…
And fight here are so addicting, and just the right amount of challenging…
Obviously some enemies are way above your level, but you always feel like you have a chance, no matter how many times you die…
Overall Cat Quest II is an addicting open world rpg well worth your time…
I would just like the sequal to step it up a bit with the loot which I feel is easily this games weakest aspect aside from the pretty throwaway generic story….
Better story, better loot and we could see cat quest 3 in the game of the year talks
    I give Cat Quest 2
    an 8/10

Very Shallow, extremely boring, endless texts almost no play time. Don't bother with it.
