Dead Maze, as a free-to-play and flash game, has a lot of issues. However, Atelier 801 gives us a social and funny experience that, with zombies and MMO, RPG and survival mechanics, can give hours and hours of joy.

The fact that it's free makes up for the fact that it looks free. You won't appreciate it for its art, and you won't enjoy the frame rate drops. Nonetheless, Dead Maze provides a fun, genuinely free-to-play experience.

Yes it certainly has its ideas, but at the end of the day it looks like a web browser social game, without its good sides: the interaction with other players is unnecessary and not even encouraged, neither by the scenario, nor by the difficulty. You spend your time going through large but maps stuffed with useless decorative elements and objects to pick. The game itself sums up (at least for the first two hours I've been through... no incentive to keep going) to fedex missions that are boring and unchallenging. And the worst in all this is that you might as well ignore the zombies all the way, because they are slow and killing them is unrewarding.

    Steer clear.
