  • Summary: Deathsmiles is CAVE's bullet-hell shoot-'em-up where you take the role of one of five Angels to defend the magical land of Gilverado from an invasion by Hell itself. Eradicate this devilish assault.

The ideal introduction to the bullet hell genre, Deathsmiles keeps every inch of its freshness and appeal to this day. The Steam release includes all six versions of the game and all the goodies of the Mushihimesama release. All in all, a game that nobody will regret owning. Highly recommended.
  2. Mar 14, 2016
Deathsmiles on PC is arguably the definitive version of the classic bullet hell, and worth every cent. Bullet heaven.
  3. Mar 16, 2016
If you love "shmup" shooters, or the "bullet hell" variety of game, then Deathsmiles should be right up your alley. What it lacks in stages and offering of modes, it makes up for with intense, wildly satisfying shooting action. Plus, the visuals look great and the soundtrack is one-of-a-kind.
  4. Mar 15, 2016
It’s not aged as well as some of CAVE’s other games, but this is still a fun and imaginative 2D shooter that’s perfect for new players.
  5. Apr 5, 2016
If you want a classic arcade experience without leaving your house, then pick up Deathsmiles.
  6. Mar 10, 2016
Deathsmiles on PC is an odd port of a classic shooter, and even though it may not measure up to some of its Cave-bred ilk, it's still worth playing if you haven't experienced it yet.
  7. Mar 21, 2016
For arcade enthusiasts with a controller of their choice plugged into their PC’s USB port, this PC re-release is both the definitive version and one of the best Bullet Hell experiences you can have, which makes it the perfect blend of Heaven and Hell for those seeking an eye-crossing, thumb-mashing challenge.
