The movement is so intense and fluid and then you get the pirates and bam boom yah. After i got to red guy I couldnt sleep for a week and after a month of grinding i was finally able to beat him even though he was really scary i almost couldnt move. To really get the experience i replayed the game on my waterproof laptop while holding my breath in my bathtub and i really recommend it, it really completes the nearly perfect ambiance of the game. i really hope platformers can come to replicate the satisfying jena se qua that the sword perfects in the 2d world. I really like the sublte nods that the pastel art style glorifies the art deco movement and its ideals especially in the jellyfish models that you are captivated with in only the first level and its only more sophisticated from there. You can really see the exciting plot thread between the various levels and bosses spiralling in all of the small detail all through out the game that all tie to the actual life of the developer, without spoiling too much keep your eye on the barrels in the the captain boss fight. So all in all the only real flaw in the game was that it was a little too scary but the rest of the game is just way too good to overlook def a must play Expand

What really brought down my experience was the design choices in the platforming sections. The jumping feels a little too stiff - due to this, there were many deaths that I felt were unfair. I think if the designers decreased the time it takes to respawn and added in more of a "safe time" for accepting jump input, that would help ease the frustration of this title. I am convinced that this game has more to offer me, but I ended up putting the game down after the first few platforming sections because of the slow respawn time and frustrating jumps. It was unfortunately a deal breaker for me right off the bat. I think this game could still be fun for some people, and I hope the developer continues to work in this genre or considers releasing an update for this title because I think there's potential here. I would also recommend this to people who like playing homebrew or indie games with personality. Expand
