  • Summary: Can you alter Deponia's fate? Do you have what it takes to change Rufus' past, present and future without accidently destroying the whole planet? Fight time itself in this action-packed, platypus-tastic and insanely hilarious story.

Full of atmosphere, funny and like LucasArts. Part 4 of the trilogy (!) stays true to its predecessors and that's how it should be. Please don't stop!

Deponia Doomsday contains one of the greatest opening scenes we've ever seen in a Point 'n Click/Adventure game, featuring none other than David Hayter. It's a must-play if you enjoyed classics such as The Curse of Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle.

I like the fact that Rufus returned to terrorize his environment. This destructive journey is a wild ride spiced up with time tiers. Classic point & click doesn’t get much better.

Although in the new chapter Rufus is once again alive, well and goofs around as much as ever, don’t expect that he’ll get his “happily ever after” this time. On the other hand – who even needs that “ever after” when you’ve got a time machine? [Issue#208, p.57]

Deponia Doomsday is an experience hardcore fans of these series will love. Its humour is as crude as ever, the story is confusing, and its characters are still missing a few vital brain cells. But with a beautiful art style and interesting puzzles, Daedalic has delivered yet another solid adventure game.

The lovable-yet-flawed characters, the interesting, detailed environments, and the snappy story are definitely back again this time around. If you are new to Deponia, however, be prepared for some tedium and confusion to go along with the colorful fun.

Faint return of the popular adventure series. Deponia still charms with its original concept and humor …and even Rufus lost none of his charm. The devs from of Daedalic bring us an adventure that is good only with its story, but not with a gameplay.

Can't give it a ten though. There were so many bugs and so many of my saves were corrupted. I had to resort to pulling saved game files off the studio's website just to be able to progress in the game. This happened about 4 times and was game breaking so it obviously needed a little time to go through some more debugging. That said, I liked it. Not sure about the ending (won't spoil it) but overall I thought it was pretty good. Hope there's another. Expand

With ridicioulus puzzles only real adventure nerds could get off to.

And i feel like that's the niche in which the series can exist and in which it excells. Otherwise it would just be another adventure. So, yeah. It's good.

Finally, a continuation from a sad ending. So far the game is awesome! You have to play the whole series and it is worth it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game was a serious let down, I love the Deponia series and was very happy to find out they were making Deponia Doomsday but I feel very cheated. This whole game advertised as a chance to change how Goodbye Deponia ended but the exact same thing happens in Deponia Doomsday. Expand
