    I had my doubts going into Dicey Dungeons, despite the pedigree present. I was worried the core reliance on random dice rolls would create a frustrating experience for the player. And while I've had those moments, I always felt that I could look back and say "that's where I went wrong" and not "the random numbers just didn't work out in my favor!" That alone is an incredibly feat. Stack it on top of six incredibly unique character mechanics, episodes that force the exploration of alternate playstyles, and an expertly crafted aesthetic, and you have another absolute slam dunk from Terry Cavanagh.

    Dicey Dungeons is a brilliant rouge-like deck-building game full of humour, hard-as-nails gameplay and plenty of replayability. The six playable characters are so different from one another that players are sure to find one that fits how they wish to play the game. Whether you want to be an aggressive warrior or a sneaky thief, there’s something for everyone.

    Under its goofy premise, Terry Cavanagh's new production is a very well designed title. Really strategic and offering a huge display of combinations, Dicey Dungeons can also be a little frustrating as we can win or lose on a roll of a dice.

    Dicey Dungeons certainly offers a unique experience to turn-based, deck-building titles. Unfortunately, the inclusion of dice can both excite and frustrate, as no amount of planning can prepare one for each contingency one might encounter or a poor run of luck. The unique playstyles keep the game fresh, the sheer quantity of items one might accrue add to the customization. If I've got the itch to throw dice, I can see myself dusting off Dicey Dungeons before anything else, but I think my luck's run dry for the time being.

    The charming dungeon crawler builds itself around the chaos of dice. Choose one of six characters, each with their own unique skills and way utilize your rolls of the six-sided die. Combat is rather fun, the artwork feels like a pop-up book, and the electronic soundtrack will have you tapping your foot. Despite the characters and additional modes though, it doesn't feel like Dicey Dungeons expands upon its early hours of play enough. Still, it's an enjoyable roguelite dungeon crawler.

    Oh, I love this game. At first, it looks like just another crazy rougelike, but soon enough it proves to be a meticulously crafted series ofOh, I love this game. At first, it looks like just another crazy rougelike, but soon enough it proves to be a meticulously crafted series of puzzles with enough rougelike elements to make it feel different every time. It's done so well, that even if throwing dice seems like the most RNG thing ever, there's always a way to beat your opponent if you play your dice right. I love the whole design and it is one of the few games I got 100% on. Looking forward to your next games, Terry! (or maybe a DLC for this one...?)

    + great graphic design with well-designed enemies (both graphically and mechanically)
    + around 40 hours of gameplay
    + RNG handled really well...

    - ...though just a few (2, I believe) chapters could use a bit more work so you don't need that much luck to beat them

    I like the game's idea. It's pretty rare and well done for a one man studio. You'll play five different class of dice and trying to escape the dungeon.

    The main difficult is combined correct items and manage your deck well. Once you gather correct cards (items) around, the rest is comes.

    Although game design is enjoyable, The game turns into a boring game with long game time, too simple art design, lack of animations, bad color shame etc..

    Despite game has too many lacking part, i think still deserves to play few hours.    … Expand
