On the dark side, the Legions of the Damned enact a plan to spread Bethrezen?s plague across Nevendaar. They sense the threat brought about by the rebirth of the Elven god and will stop at nothing to steal this power for their own purposes. Perhaps most pivotal to the conflict, however, is Mortis and her army of Undead Hordes. After all, the rebirth of her husband Gallean was her doing. He had rejected her for what she had become, a twisted, heartless beast. Now she would teach her mate a lesson... one that would scar his people for eternity... [Strategy First] Expand

The new campaigns take advantage of a larger supported map size, allowing for longer and more complicated scenarios. [Oct 2003, p.117]
  2. On its own merits, this expansion is a reasonably good deal, but it's best suited for the hard-core Disciples II fan who wishes to play every single official scenario for the game.
  3. 70
Only new players and veteran fans who have taken up smoking crack to fill the void of no Disciples II will want to shell out the money for each of these expansions. Shame.
  4. Make no mistake though, Servants of the Dark is fun; it's just that the whole experience is a bit short when compared to the lengthy and extensive original.
  5. 65
The single player mode is lacking in many ways and feels disjointed, as if the missions should have just been in the original game.
  6. Computer Games Magazine

Scenario design in the new campaigns is overly reliant on puzzles. [Oct 2003, p.95]
  7. 50
There's just not enough new content to justify this expansion.
